I wanted to say it's overpriced. But I can't. I think it's actually worth that. I can't believe it but I really do.

I actually kind of like this! No, I haven't suffered a concussion. It looks sort of futuristic. I think I'd paint it and modify it to make it look sci-fi-ish.

I would rock that.

My dad had a brown one like that but with a manual tranny. He bought it around '86 or '87 and kept it for about half a year, and although I was 3 or 4 years old, I remember two things about that car very distinctly. First- the smell of Bondo. Every time I smell Bondo I think about that car. Secondly was this "pssssssssssssshhhhhhhh" sound you'd hear when you shut the door. That was rust flakes falling off of the car.

My race-team-boss picked up a '46 Chris Craft similar to that. It's gorgeous.

Indeed! My late father in law had a '66, which was almost identical. Different engine, though. His had a 289 Chevy. What was cool was that Lymans were designed for fresh water.

I'm not a Mustang guy, but that must have been a blast.

Splumer, I had an 84 Capri RS 5.0L right after this was taken... Dad very rarely let me drive that car as he was afraid of 17 year old + Mustang 5.0 = wrecked Mustang. The Capri, oh fuck a dillydoo was that thing a blast!

I had an 85 gt I got for basically nothing and immediately after buying it being a stupid 16 year old took it out street racing. Turns out there was no oil in it and hammered like a son of a bitch, figured out there was no oil in it, added about four quarts and it shut up and I drove it for months with no problems.

I remember Car & Driver did a test between the American pony cars of the late '80s. They used a Capri with the 302 because they said it was better and faster than the Mustang GT. I don't remember why, but I found that interesting.
