what's going on with the passat?

Weird quality control issues from that factory- we'll get a car in with carbon fiber door trim in the front and wood in the rear. Stuff like that.

And black TDI Passats seem to be lunching the turbos within about 15,000 km. Just black ones.

The new Jettas have been decent, they're just boring as hell. I've said it before, they should have been a new model and the Jetta should have continued as a "premium" small car.

I love the new passat, its so comfortable and easy to drive, and great for long road trips. Mind you the ones ive been in have been modified a bit so they stand out compared to the original.

New beetle is sick Id rock one .

Did you send an e-mail also? Send an e-mail first, leave your number and asked to be called, then follow-up with a call in a couple of days if you don't receive a call (or automated e-mail reply). Many times those bot mails will say "we will contact you in 24-28 hours". It creates a "paper trail" on their end so you won't be accidentally ignored.

Back when I sold Toyotas if you didn't get a return call within 48 hours it was an automatic $1000 off any deal that gets worked out. The voucher was given to you by the GM and he told you to drop it on the table after all the work was said and done.

We all were responsible for returning calls on different days. If the voucher came from one of your days you got cut $500 from your check per incident. Of course it was really fucking rare and I only saw it happen once. It wasn't advertised much. But I always knew about it and told my customers to call and see if a salesman would screw up. That extra grand voucher acted like cash on a down payment toward my commission.

End of the day selling cars sucked tho.

i first left emails with Cooley Volkswagen near Albany, Garvey Volkswagen in Glens Falls and Shearer Volkswagen in Burlington VT... nada.

is this normal? When I was in the market to trade my Cobalt for a Camaro, the salesperson at Denooyer Chevrolet in Albany was on the phone to me within the hour of me sending the email.

Nope, not at all. My email box still fills up from offers from dealers when I started inquiring about a new GTI. I emailed about the one I ended up with at 9 am and had trade offers by 11 am.

Certainly not where I work... we'd have someone call you immediately, and if the car wasn't available they'd be looking for one for you and keeping you updated on the situation.

Call this number, voice your concerns. Possibly get sweet deals and free stuff. This is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.

I dont see why they're being so lazy, I have a deal with my local dealer where I get 100 bucks for everyone that buys a car that I refer.

they all do that, the dealer we bought the GTI from will also give us 100$ if we send anyone there and they buy a car. In fact it's happened, twice.

Geez...if you sent an email in Portland that you were interested at the two VW Dealers I can think of., they would asked you to come in and even have a cup of whatever beverage ready for you to talk turkey! And yes, I have been in one as a wingman for a friend who bought a used Touraeg...or however its spelled.
