I will also say, out of the roughly 160 or so cars I have owned in my life (And that includes 2 Fiats, a Renault, an AMC and a GMC), that Fox was the worst car I have ever owned, by far.

Coming from someone that has owned a Fiat X1/9, this is something... was it you that tried to stop the firemen from putting the car out when it (the Fiat) caught fire?

Finally finished up getting the 74 CJ-5 i bought drivable. Still have some issues with the way the engine runs but nothing serious. Have a little stumble at low RPM and an occasional misfire. Got to be something stupid in the ignition system causing the problem. Good news is its all good to go, trans/Tcase and axles are fine!

Change the capacitor on the points.

I'd say my Jetta is pretty sexy, but it would just be extra sexy with a light bar and some amber headlight bulbs. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Had already been through the points/condensor and replaced them with new parts. Actually swapped the old condensor into it last night and it helped big time. Looks like I got a bum condensor!

Also, threw a spare muffler I had onto it. Seems the 258 likes its back pressure, this made a HUGE difference in how it runs. It runs great now!

Yeah, they need thier back pressure. You will lose power with a glass pack on one, but they can sound good lol.

Glad she is running better!!

Yeah it came with a glass pack on it and thats what I threw back in for now. Its going away this weekend for something a bit less cheap haha.

Thinking just a regular ol muffler and keep it nice and quiet.

A single flow master for a 5.0 F150 from the late 80's to early 90's provides the perfect backers sure and sounds good. Can't remember the series.

And so it begins...

Got the top half of the light bar cut and bent, just have to weld it together tomorrow and then rig up the bottom/mounting points. I made a cardboard mock up last night so it shouldn't take too long. Once that's all together I just need to mount the lights, and do the wiring and away we go...! I also bought two more lamps today when I picked up the pipe bender, so there will be four in total.

Because the front bumper on my Subaru is pretty radished (ie. rotted, broken and held together with sheetmetal screws and zip ties) he wants to build a rally style/mad max light pushbar for the front of it. I really think I want to do that. He works with guys who all own Subaru legacy Outbacks and a couple of them have already built them. The plans are even in the computer where he works.

What do you think?
