| | | So, not trying to ressurect an old thread, but I think I'm going to put my car skills to good use.
After much discussion I think my guys and I have come up with the perfect UE vehicle. Now, if we consider it on the actual URBAN part, here's what we come up with.. Something roomy, confortable, and able to carry 5 or 6 people and gear without being crampped. Also, something that blends in, and is able to be outfitted with some toys for the drive, and to help with locating and exploring.... So, we came up with this... We're taking my minivan(Mercury Villager), and outtfiting is with GPS, onboard computer, a full multimedia sysem, HAM and CB radios, and some other things. Think about it, it blends in like nothing else. It's roomy, comforable, AND it gets 30mpg. So when we want ot jump the interstate to check out other cities, we're golden.

| | | Posted by Rover Rob Meh, the LT1 is a wrist pin throwing pain in the buttocks. The 4.6 mod may not have the initial balls, but takes better to mod. That, and I have access to a DOHC Cobra engine that happens to fit quite nicely.. That, and the cops here all run Vics, so I would blend right in.
| Are you nuts? I've never heard of an LT1 hammering wrist pins, or anything else in the bottom end, even after 150,000+ miles. I do know that the waterpumps were a tad bit on the weak side because they couldn't take the RPM's the LT1 could spin. No, after working on and seeing what 4.6's with some miles on them are like, no thanks... Samurai
