Hey Mike, thanks for getting me added to this forum, and thanks for adding me Mark!

Lets see if I can remember what I have well enough to brag about it...

Mobile/Base Station:
Uniden BC-855 scanner (modded)
Uniden BC-something (old VHF scanner)
Antique "multi band" AM/FM/SW/VHF/CB reciever
Two AM trancievers, old marine radios which are now illegal to use
Lots of old marine VHF and CB radios.

Portable/Handheld:
Motorolla MTX-810s (2) Which I'm trying to reprogram.
Motorolla HT-600 (also trying to reprogram, currently stuck on local fire department frequency).
Icom IC-2A 2-meter handhelds (2)
Icom VHF marine handheld (2, only one works).
Generic 6-channel marine VHF handhelds.
Uniden Bearcat 200 channel scanner (can't remember the model)
Generic FRS (2)
Insane numbers of old crystal-controlled CB handhelds.

Stuff I used to have that I got rid of:
AN-GRC/9 Vietnam era jeep radio (traded for the MTX-810s)
BC-312 WWII tranciever (sold to a military historian)
Motorolla MTX-800s (gave away due to not having a trunking controller).
Uniden BC-50xlt (gave to my girlfriend)

In case you can't tell, I love police scanners. They're totally legal up here, an if questioned I can always whip out my amatuer liscence. Hearing references to yourself while exploring, or getting stopped by the police and hearing your ID run is interesting Also, a lot of my stuff is boat-related since my dad has a fishing boat.

Hey, no problem! I figured since you've got a pretty good interest in radios you'd want a piece of the pie too!

I should add to my collection, I've recently bought a Motorola Railroad Spectra..

Just out of interest, do you have an antenna on your house? (no I'm not joking, I'm genuinely interested)

OK I posted a question here but it didn't show up. (or some dick removed it without telling me, IE Mark ;))

Do you have a radio antenna on your house, Mike? Because I've seen a few houses that have radio a antenna in their back garden, and just wondered why they have one.

EDIT: Oh great, and now the fricken original one shows up several hours after I posted it.

I don't have one.

The only antenna I have outside is a small mag-mount VHF antenna (12 inches long) that's stuck on the Hydro meter right now.

Yeah, my post was deleted too...

I just got into this, so I only have a Kenwood THD7G

I'm getting a Pro96 this week for a trunking scanner. That's about it. I don't see me getting anything more after this.

What frequency range are we talking about with these radios? UHF? VHF?

The PRO-96 covers everywhere.

Off the top of my head...

30-55MHz
108-136MHz
136-175MHz
380-512MHz
806-936MHz

It probably covers alot more, but those are the only bands that "matter"

It does analog and digital and trunking.

I've got some of those 810s, but they don't work too well. I guess that's what I should expect for free radios.

The local redneck surplus auction sold a huge box of old motorollas from the military base for about $50, there were probably 50 radios (huge old square ones) and 30 battery packs, but of course none of the batteries worked and there were no chargers

Let's see, I still have most of my crap from my early radio days hanging around here..

VHF Saber II 148-174 120 Channels
VHF GP68 20 Channels Front Panel Programmable
VHF SV11 1 Channel
VHF 2 MT500's 8 Freq on Railroad Freqs
VHF 3 MT500's 4 freq on... nothing...

UHF Radio Shack Business Band Radio (POS)
UHF Motorola Saber III 440-470 120 channels (coming soon)
(Putting FRS in the Saber... heh heh heh)

800MHz MTX-800 (yes, MTX-800!) that I don't have a charger for and it's not programmed, so I dunno if it works or not.

FRS 2 Motorola FR50's (POS)
FRS Bellsouth Communications FRS/GMRS radio (POS)

Probably more laying around, I just can't think of anything else.
