Since there is a name that car thread, and a cars we like thread I thought I would start this. Post cars that make you ill looking at them.
I will start the thread with the Pontiac Aztek. All I can fathom is that the designers for each individual part were locked in separate rooms and not allowed to see the car as a whole until it was done.

I would change nothing on that truck. You cannot duplicate a patina like that. The repainted hood is the only part I don't like.

Most of the SUV type vehicles look reminiscent of hightop sneakers.

Seriously. Just think about it.

Agreed, there's something to be said for a genuinely cheap rat rod. Though the Torque Thrusts don't really work with that theme. I'd go with rattle-can cherry red steelies, myself.

Oddly enough, Hondas have been described as looking like a sneaker or "nerd's shoe" (when Car and Driver reviewed the Civic hatchback around 1995 or so), and when you look at them, they really do.

My vote:

Yeah...great idea...sand your paint off and let it rust. Nothing screams "My parents paid for my car, so it's okay if I trash it to be different from others" more than making your car rust on purpose.

I actually really like the idea of the Aztek, it's a pretty cool idea. Just ugly as fuck.

the thing had everything you could possibly want in a car, a center console that was a cooler, speaker jacks at the back end.

I have never been able to look beyond the ugly ass exterior of the Aztec,
What type of cool toys are on the inside? My wife drives an Element, it looks like a little UPS truck, but the inside is so roomy, handy, useful, spartan.
We both really like it.

I love the Element. Toaster FTW!!!

I saw one the other day with a bunch of funny stickers on it. One said "EAT. SLEEP. TOASTER."

The other said "Fuck aerodynamics!"

1958 Packard Hawk. Had the sporty tail finned back end of the Studebaker with a different nose. I always thought it looked like a human face with the grill opening being the mouth. It almost looks depressed, I was once one of the greatest American luxury car brands. Please put me out of my misery.

Toyota Echo. If it were stretched just a bit shorter, a bit lower, a bit wider, it would be just another nondescript Japanese box not worthy of mentioning. The way it is, it looks just a bit too narrow, the passenger compartment looks rather tall, and the wheels look comically small.

Also, I posted this one in the other ugly car thread, but it's so bad it deserves another mention. First generation Oldsmobile Aurora. It looks like a melted old man.

Only for the 2 & 4 door versions
The little hatchback isn't bad at all
