working 12 hours.
getting done at 6:20pm and knowing you have to be right back in at 6:20am.
i hate my job i hate my job i hate my job.

i haven't had to work days in almost 3 months and no, gasp-sigh, there i am.

Well, it's shutdown time.

We all have to suffer. I end up on broke for the first week with someone I really can't stand because Bill is gonna be in PA for a week and I'm not high enough on the food chain in the union leadership to go, sadly.

Why the fuck is every reputable oil change shop closed on Sunday in this town? This isn't the fucking bible belt, I need an oil change, and my check engine light came on Friday. Was out of town Friday evening and all day Saturday, so couldn't get it done then. Free today, and everything is closed. Most close so early during the week I'd need to take vacation days just to get my car serviced.

When you take a nice, long shower then after an hour or so later you have to poop, making the whole shower a wasted effort because you may as well shower again.

<sigh>

Fedge, how many times we gotta tell you, drop the pants and underwear FIRST, squat on the toilet and let it go?

Remember:

1) Drop pants and underwear
2) Squat with your butt aiming into the toilet
3) Let 'er rip!

Darn kids, never listen.

just dry it out... i ran my phone through the extended wash cycle and it still works. the keypad has illumination issues sometimes, but it still works. Most of the time, if you let them dry out, they'll continue to work.

Pull the battery out and let it dry. I dried my old cell phone with a hair dryer and it kept working for a few more months.

I haven't tried the bowl of rice trick, but I've heard that'll work, too, since it draws out the moisture.

Not really an everyday thing but pissed off and funny all the same.

So me and two buddies decide to go kayaking down at San Elijo beach. It's nice there cause you have cool Kelp beds and the surf is mild making it easy to get Kayaks out. so i grab my Kayak and I borrow a different friends 2 person for the other guys. he tells me that even though it's an older Fiberglass kayak he foamed it and there is no possible way it could sink.

Cool I think we are good to go..

We get down there and after laughing a lot watching my two friends (who are new at this) try to get out past the surf we head to the Kelp beds and in general spend a few hours having a good time. so idiot #1 decides to go swimming and hops off the Kayak, and Idiot #2 thinks it's a great idea and follows him. The trouble starts when they decide to get back on it...

So #1 gets on alright but doesn't really help #2 who is having a hard time and rocking the kayak...a lot... normally not an issue, til he knocks the compartment cover loose and tries to hoist himself up... pushing the end of the already soggy Kayak underwater. with a whoosh and a yelp the damn thing starts sinking like the fucking Titanic. one end goes down the other goes up, launching #1 off the end like a catapult. I see this and yell at #2 to throw me the Bow line which he does and I tie it off to mine.

Damn thing sinks straight down and the ONLY thing keeping it near the surface is being tied to my Kayak... *sigh* great..... just great. So after everyone gets near I start towing it back to shore... around 1.5 miles. thankfully it does rise up close to the surface, enough for #1 and #2 to grab the end of it, but not enough to get it above water and start draining it.

After 4 hours of switching off towing (fucker was a lot of weight, I mean it was basically a sea anchor) we get it to the breakers and let them carry it in to the shore where we empty it and pack it up... swearing to kill my friend who never did foam the inside of it...which is why it was able to sink.

I still want a new one anyway. I don't dare hold onto one that's been drenched just in case it shorts out when I really need it.

Bill, my coworker, did the same thing. His lasted about a week after he dried it out before it shorted out. So with work and union business, I'll just stick with the Razr until I can get the LG touch screen one I want next week. Already ordered it yesterday, it should be in like the end of next week. Replacement was only like 100 bucks. Thankfully.

I was just pissed I lost my calendar, phone numbers and notes. I just wish I'd copied all of that stuff into my moleskine before it happened. It's replaceable, but just a pain in the ass.

It's the only contact number that fellow employees and union officers have for me if they need me or have questions, so it's important that I have one that I can rely on. I don't like using my parent's phone for union business, if I can help it.

keep in mind that if it's the same LG touch I have the Alarm clock will stop working and will go off intermittently. I had to resort to using the calendar feature because I missed several important alarms.. other than that it's good.

An LG Prime. Hopefully that's not what you got.

Getting it cheap since I really don't want to blow more than 100 bucks on a phone that can actually do internet stuff. With my half brother and sister, I like something that can actually do Facebook, even though I don't do much with it but post pictures for them. My Razr can't do that stuff and the camera sucks ass. The Prime has a decent camera, 1.3 megapixel or something and allows for up to a 16 gig sd card to be put into it.

no mine is the enV touch, not the prime touch. don't know much about the prime, but the enV is ok if you can look past the bad interface and bugs lol.

It got to be about 4am, so i figured i'd charge it. The phone had shut off, wouldn't turn back on. I tried charging it. Nothing. i even changed batteries and tried charging THAT battery... STILL NOTHING.
these fucking Razrs are junk. Absolutely fucking garbage.

People who type "LOL @". Internet shorthand tends to grate my nerves anyway, as I think it's typically used by illiterate fuckasses, but for some reason "LOL @" drives me bonkers. Same for people who only respond with pictures, because they're too lazy to type.

I realize the responses following this post are probably going to be someone using "LOL @ u" or some such bullshit, but I'm putting it out there anyway.

Edited to add: People who use "LOLOLOLOL" or "LMFAOOOOOO" because my mind always reads it out as "Laugh out loud out loud out loud out loud" or "Laughing my as off off off off off off off".
