| | | The guy I work with, day in and day out...well, supposedly he's in the hospital. I saw him Wednesday night at a union meeting before work, and he called in sick that night. I don't know what happened, I don't know what's the matter. I figured it was just him screwing off because of what happened at the meeting. I'm just kind of lost. He hasn't called me back, I left a couple messages at his cell number because of some things that happened at the meeting that I wanted to talk to him about. He's got family, I'm just worried about him. It's not like him at all to not go to work for something that's trivial, so it must be something major. The only thing is, I don't know what it is and he's the kind of person that would go to work with a horrible case of gout (which he has) or a torn ACL in his knee (which he has). So, I'm guessing it's bad, really bad. Like a heart attack, blindness, deafness or worse, like a stroke. I've worked with him for so long he's family too. A little over 4 years we've worked together. I spend more time with him than I do my own family as it is. I've spent more Christmases, Thanksgivings and birthdays with him than I've spent with my family in the last five years. It'll kill me to lose him like this, especially if I can't find out what happened. I fucking hate feeling like this. I really do and it pisses me off to no end.

| They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

| I feel your pain. Also, the little old ladies/men who count out their pennies before and after any transaction, AND THEN discover the coupon in their purse/wallet and THEN want a refund on the difference on the coupon's value, while there's a long, long line of people, some with screaming children in tow. Also: parent's who scream their fucking heads off in the school parking lot/play ground that they cannot find a 'fucking parking space' in an already over-crowded parking lot, AND THEN take their complaints to me (I'm on the school's parent advisory committee) and bitch and complain blah blah blah...really violent people shouldn't be parents...give me the finger, spit in my direction...and their kids are kinda standing there watching this and you just know godamned well that the next time this kid faces an unexpected obstacle they're going to react similarly. Really...I'm standing there directing morning/afternoon traffic, and NO THE LOT IS FULL and I get the shit, as though it's my fault that you drove your car three blocks to collect Little Jimmy/Sally to discover that you cannot park. Actually...while it does indeed piss me off, I kinda get off on being the guy who tells them "Sorry...no parking" just to watch them explode. Especially when they go apeshit, and I'm standing there smiling at them. Beaming, really. A 'Big White Teeth' smile.

| | | insurance rates!! Apparently it's going to cost me $20/month more starting next month to insure my Jetta. It'll be up to $170 a month for someone with 6 years experience, full license, no accidents, and I'm driving a 2003 VW Jetta TDI Wagon. It's currently at $150/month (which was down $5 from my previous car, despite adding collision to my Jetta) It was $123, then $135, then $155 as a G2 driver (for those not in Ontario, G1 = 1st license you get, have to drive with a G licensed driver who's had it for at least 4 years, G2 you can get after a roadtest and allows you to drive on your own but with restrictions, G is full license.) to drive a 93 Civic hatchback. Grrrrrrrr.

| i've had my own insurance since 1992 and was with Allstate which wasn't bad. I moved to Tennessee in 2000 and dropped all insurance (TN didn't require auto insurance) and then went NY Mutual (NY Extortion more like it) when I moved back to NY. After that, i was with State Farm for almost 10 years. I had three windshield claims, one deer strike claim ($1500) and a vandalism claim ($1800) in that time... I had a couple of tickets, but i fought them and had them reduced to non-speeding. Anyways, my insurance kept going up and up and up. It went from $145 to $167 and then finally $190 a month. In August I had had enough when my agent couldn't explain my rates kept going up. I was/am 37 years old, been driving since I was 15, licensed since 16 and a pretty good driving record. I packed it in after 9.5 years and went with Esurance. My payment with them, for the same coverage, is $93 a month for both cars. I have liability on the Beretta (NY required) and comprehensive on the 07 Cobalt with a $500 deductible. (the body shop i go to always works around the deductible). i read an article somewhere that says if your bill is getting ridiculous to shop around.

| | | Posted by shadowedsmile Getting told to find a new place because you wouldn't drive your roommates home last night after I was in school all morning and had just finished working an 8 hour shift....the same people who you have driven an hour out of your way for all summer, and will be again on Friday... ... So they kept me up til 4am and now I think I've gotten sick and I'm beyond tired. Full day of school ahead, and work first thing tomorrow, and school first thing Friday morning. This is exactly why I wasn't going to spend my evening driving into downtown Toronto to get them, because I need to keep ontop of sleep because I can't afford to get sick or be out of commission for a day. Fuck I'm pissed.
| They are assholes. I used to work shift work and there were a few 'friends' and family members who figured that I was on midnight shift so that I can be their personal servant. When I refused to spend my entire sleeping time running errands for them, they got pissed off. Needless to say, I'm not associating with them anymore. As someone who owned a pickup, I had too many people criticize me for owning it. But when moving day comes, suddenly I'm the best buddy in the whole f**king world. That is until I tell them no, I'm not coming out to help and no, I'm not loaning the truck to them.
