If the car you want doesnt come with an aux jack or have great sound, couldn't you just buy a head unit and some speakers and put them in the car?

I might be leasing, in which case I would like to have everything already in there. "Great sound" isn't actually a concern... adequate is more than enough for my ears.

Doesn't the Impreza have AWD already? (maybe I'm mis-reading you)

'08 GTI... I want one so freaking badly. Such a blast to drive, and we don't get them in for major repairs (and you KNOW these things are getting thrashed)

That's actually my concern about buying either a used GTI or Impreza... I can't imagine that they would not have been severely punished by their previous owners (because that is likely what I would have done).

You know, both cars can take it pretty well. They're designed to be driven hard.

personally I'd say subaru.
and be sure to take into account the fuel cost on a turbo car. you should be using premium which is what 12 cents more per litre?
some people forget that and get angry about it after they bought the car.

yeah but you know what, my 2.0t A4 is way more fuel efficient than my old 2.0L mk4 jetta and even though I have to put premium, it's cheaper to run in the end.

same with my friend who has a 2009 rabbit with the 2.5. my car is cheaper to run fuel wise.

youre suppose to run premium in the 2.5 anyway, you get 100-150km more if you run premimum in that engine

Douchie isn't an obstacle. I've zipcar'd regular Mazda 3 and found them to be pretty comfortable.

I've never owned a car powerful enough to have torque steer. Rust isn't ideal, however.

Requirement:
Manual transmission
Nope.
Heated seats
Nope
At least an AUX jack, but preference for iPod and Bluetooth integration
AM/FM?

Preference:
Hatchback
Nope.
More subdued styling
Kinda looks like a police car...
Higher tech audio is fun.
I'm sure it has a Balance/Fader control on the stock unit!

dont need heated seats with a V8, they warm up fast
put an aftermarket stereo in

hatchback?? wha, you can fit 4 bodies in a cvpi trunk
cvpi has classic sedan styling
