This Noah's Ark thing isn't a 'theme park' as much as it is a 'staging ground' for when the Apocalypse arrives. The faithful will need to get out of Dodge pretty fast, and when the head waters come crashing all around us, and North America fractures into a million tiny pieces, that Ark will save them

Seriously. Why else do you see so many faithful in these places, but to be prepared and at a constant state of alert, and to be close to the means of their salvation and/or escape from the fate that awaits the unbelievers.

I just assumed they were idiots...

Why is it that people who are sure they are going to spend a blissful eternity in heaven want to avoid death? If I thought all I had to do to spend eternity hanging out with my dead family (most of whom at this point were the ones I liked), Gary Gygax, Robert E Howard, Smedley Butler, and everyone else was die I take up BASE jumping and free climbing today!

I really have to question the good nature of a Christian who can totally enjoy their rapture, fully knowing that 99 percent of everybody they have ever known, children, parents, brothers, are burning in an eternal hellfire. Kinda smarmy.

I agree. I once asked a friend who is a christian this question: who held accountable if during the rapture a pilot gets raptured and there's no one to fly the plane and the plane crashes and kills those left behind in the plane and whatever it crashes into?

On the other hand I have friend who is a Jehovahs witness and I like their idea of a rapture. The 144,000 go to heaven to be. "In the glory of god" but it becomes a paradise on earth for everyone else to enjoy. I like that idea a lot.

...

I read on some web site or something that planes with raptured pilots will indeed crash (assuming there aren't any non-raptured pilots on board), but since the plane will be filled with non-believers it's no big loss.

thats what i hate about some christians, i believe every life is important. I find it hard to believe that god is such a petty asshole that he will let people just die and get murdered if they are not a part of his fan club.

Yesterday I saw a van with a bumper sticker that said "God is pro-life." And I said "except for all the innocent people - including babies - he killed in the flood, or Sodom & Gomorrah, and all those others."
