Since there's no indication the Ord event is going ahead, I'm bailing to save myself 5 hours of potentially-pointless driving . Hope we can reschedule for another time. It was fun last time.

Does that mean you'll be attending our other meeting?

seems to me like the combo of bad weather and photography meet on the same day kind of killed this ord meet up??

The weather actually turned out perfect. Just that no one seemed to know wtf was going on.

So, despite nobody showing up to the meet after us driving 2 and a half hours from Modesto, and the organizer having to go to work, me and my friend trekked on and still had a good time. We explored a couple new places but mostly revisited, had a shopping cart race around the pool, and it was great until i ripped my pants hopping out a window, which just MAY have been caused by having to run from a wild angry dog inside the church, and suddenly the temperature dropping to the low 30 degree farenheit with winds picking up. And we were planning on going down to Impossible City too shame, maybe next time though.
(These were taken with a cruddy Android phone, not a professional camera. In ideal lighting conditions the pictures are ok, otherwise they turn out like crap. Main reason I keep and share these is just to share memories)

And this is the last image i took that turned out blurry because an angry wild dog came running in through the doorway and I didn't want to stick around:

Finally got to go last week. It was sad to see most the buildings are taken over by construction for the new housing development.

Yeah, that's progress for ya. Fortunately though, for us, until somebody coughs up some serious dough many of those buildings will still be there years from now.

I've been going through some older images to see what I might have missed or what else I can work on and found a couple.

.....more to come.

Thought I'd post this one seeing as how it won't be there for much longer...if it isn't already gone that is.

Drove by today only to find bulldozers surrounding a huge pile of rubble. Too distraught to take photos.

Ya, that sucks. It was a nice building with some character. I'm glad I got to see and photograph it before all the graffiti vandals started attacking it.
