| | | i usually wear some work boots but the only pair i have are way to greasy for climbing ladders and such (i actually work in them and theyre on a grease covered floor all day) so lately ive been wearing a pair of vans, for draining i wear a pair of cheap rubber boots
Posted by AgentNox I wear a different, but similar, pair of boots when draining. I can't be bothered with waders unless it's freezing cold. Typical draining attire is knee-high leather boots and a mini-skirt. I've joked about using that paint-on latex you can buy in fetish shops as the ultimate draining attire that I might have to actually put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, and do it up in the spring.

now why arent there any women like that around here?

| | | I use Matterhorn USMC infantry boots with the non-metallic safety toe. I picked the non-metallic design because it won't retain cold. They're a little pricy though, $190 for these guys. And obviously I haven't polished them in a while. # ANSI-certified steel toe # Durably waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® bootie # Non-insulated; shock-absorbent # Polyurethane cushion insole # Leather Cordura® nylon upper # Fiberglass shank # Cambrelle® lining; speed lacing system # Vibram® outer sole

| | | I wore these boots when I was a guard at a nuke facility. These'll make it through ANYTHING! The huge treads are great. Its like wearing a really comfortable set of muddin' tires! ;)

| | | I just wear some hiking boots or sneakers. Nothing special needed IMO if you're observant, though steel toes are good for the peace of mind factor. If you're aware of your surroundings and coordinated you probably don't need anything special, but of course having steel toes/shanks, reinforced ankle support, etc. can't possibly hurt.

| | | Those boots are Bates Enforcers. They come in guys and girls sizes. Bates carries some that have a lower top but I couldn't wear those at work. they run about $169.00.

| | | I've been wearing Magnums forever. I love them because they're heavy, heavy duty boots that function like sneakers. My first pair lasted me four years, through high school gym class, two jobs standing all day, skateboarding, outdoorsy stuff, kicking stuff, scaling fences and whatever else. I've bought them with steel toes and winter insulation. Equiped with a pair of boots for different seasons, in the six years I've known the company, I've spent less than $350 to keep my feet warm and safe.

Best boots I've ever owned; so far I've burned three sets, they take a polish with enough kiwi, so I wear them at work, and in a shirt and tie noone thinks twice. Get the side zip, its's very convenient, or buy the Sears Die Hard brand knock off as I also did, but the width hurt my feet a little.
I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying. |

| | | I always wear my new balance sneakers or my amphibious shoes (dry out quick if i step in puddles or creeks, which I tend to do at an alamring rate), but if there's going to be lots of combo locks where I go, I'd probably put on boots. Who needs to pick them when you just smash the heel of your boot against the combo-spinner-thing of the lock, opens it right up.

| | | Usually just wear my good old catepillar workboots if I feel I could be in a situation where I could either step on something or have something fall. But if it is a spur of the moment exploration my DVS skates will do just fine.

| | | I have two pairs of these:
(Not my picture but just to give an idea) They're Canadian combat boots. Waterproof up to the top and I'd imagine that they have the steel plate in the bottom. They are not steel toed. I wouldn't suggest wearing these in the snow, they were aweful.
