do quite a bit of computer stuff

one of the nice things about being a CE major is that we get to look around a lot of places that most people don't. Not quite UE when its a tour, but a lot better than not.

Age: 39 (almost got you Alphawolf!)

Occupation: Military and police firearms trainer (the most kick ass job I can possibly imagine)

Status: Never been married, and no kids, but I'm getting married soon, and she has two of her own.

Hobbies: I'm working on a book on New Mexico ghost towns, I snow ski, fish, build custom backpacks, scuba dive and I recently got back into running marathons after a several year hiatus.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

Cool! It sound like we would get along just fine!

Oh, and as far as status goes: Married for 13 long grueling years (or abducted by aliens, depending on which of my friends you talk to), raised two boys (not mine) and have a sixteen year old daughter that I get to see a couple of times a year if I'm a good wolf. Been divorced since '94 and never looked back! In the words of Tom Waits, "I don't have to ask permission if I want to go out fishin', and I never have to ask for the keys..."

Brand new member here. Just posted my first thread in the Southeast section. 25 years old, just graduated from Valdosta State in Georgia. Hoping to learn alot and gain some insight on new places from this site. Looking for a full time job right now. That is all I guess.

Edited for content.

my friend told me about your site and just been having my first ever look around it and its fantastic.its always good to hear other folks stories of thier adventures and hopefully find out about new places.ive only been exploring old asylums, hospitals and mortuaries as they interest me the most but im going to get ideas for exploring other types of buildings by reading other users threads.
hope i will be able to make some kind of small contribution to a great site.

Hey folks,

Just signed up.

Have been doing abandoned factories for years but have recently got interested in the history of sites, such as as finding traces of old rivers, etc, on Montreal Island.

Hey, I'm pretty new to the board, so I figured I may as well post something here.

I'm from Baltimore, Maryland, and I'm seventeen years old. I just started getting into the whole urban exploration thing, but it's getting cold and I haven't been able to get out consistently. So, the solution? Lurk around on these boards and hope to accumulate knowledge.

Hello All,

I signed up about 2 months ago... I can't believe I overlooked this thread!!!!

This is one of the few activities in my life where I actually feel old. I'm 33 years old and have lived in Texas most of my life. I work in the Telecom industry. Like most of you I started exploring at a very young age. At some point, I realized, I was going to school, getting a job, getting married, paying the bills, but not having fun anymore. It took 15 years and a serious medical scare for me to see that life is too short not to have fun. So now (in my free time and when my wife lets me, of course), I'm back doing what I used to love to do as a kid... exploring. Though my health keeps me from doing some of the climbing and running required by some of you more adventurous UEers. I still have a passion for this. I'm glad to see there are many people out there who have a passion for adventure as well. Without explorers, where would we be today???? This is a great site, that provides me with a sense of community and for that, thank you all.....

Hi, I've introduced myself in regional areas already... I just found this thread now.

I'm 19 and a freshman in college. I haven't done any serious exploring before, but I have done some minor sneaking around school (during highschool) before without being caught if that counts for anything. I've found a few places around where I am (Im in Tennessee but Im from Indiana) and I hope to visit them sometime soon.

outside of UE I like reading and writing, gaming, learning foreign languages, and letter writing.

Whew after reading a few I don't feel like the oldest at 39:

Any way I have been a long time lurker over a year on these forums about time I pipe up, introduce myself.

Job:
I am a set designer for Television and currently work for one of the big three here is the US, Although my body of work does include MTV Nickolodeon and VH1

Hobbies:

My hobbies include mountain biking, video games (Specificly Halo 2) and photography. Reading alot. I am fascinated with entropy and architecture that is why I love this stuff.

Music:
80's Alternative, Rock and Roll, folk Music just about anything.

UE I have done:

I grew up in Ohio where as a kid I loved to explore abandoned schools factories etc.. long since torn down. In college and grad school I would often work it scenic shops (Studying to be a set designer) in old abandoned factories. Now I live in NY and although I don't explore much any more, I do have a love for photography and building entropy. I do photograph a lot of pipes and hope to come across a good structure that I would be proud to post here. untill then I live life looking for the next adventure/ misadventure.
