| | | Hey guys, I reciently discovered this activity and am excited to see such a site devoted to it. Previuosly I had loved exploring construction/ abandoned sites and now have a database for the best of them. I discovered all this in searching for info on the Rochester Subway which I hope to explore if I can find a few people at college here who want to join me. From there, who knows, but I hope to spend some time exploring the rooftops of my own university here. If anyone is looking for an acomplice in the Rochester area I'd be excited to tag along, even if I am a relative noob at the moment.

| | | I suppose I should introduce myself. Names Daren. Well, first of I should mention I work for Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) But before anyone gets the wrong Idea, I'm not a nark, snitch or a bitch. Hahaha, But before that I delivered pizza for Papa Johns for about 4 years. So I would always find interesting places to explore. And I always cary a digital camera with me. (exept for work, sence they are not permitted) Although I would love to be able to take pictures of my prison. Other than exploring and taking pictures, I love to work on cars. I guess thats all I can say, any questions feel free to ask.

| | | Im from Colorado Springs - I was intro'd to this obscure art at the age of 14 in some storm drains in the vicinity of Platte and Murray. My friends at he time called them "the Tunnels" We only made it about half way to (what we believed) was the Citadel Mall's drains. Never went back to explore the places they had not. Interesting paved metal pipe `1.8M (about 6 1/2 feet) for the outfall and 1.66m ~5.5 feet RCP all the way through on the west leading branch. The other branch was 1.2 m CMP and required a squatting walk until you reached a grill room under the 7-11 sign on Murray/Platte . The grille room lead into a square junction area that ended up in 2ft RCPs going every where. I took one of them and popped a manhole at the end of a crosswalk by the signal button for a Pedestrian crossing. Saw a cop parked nearby and didnt exit the manhole. i turned back and qwent the way i came in... Weird to say the least. I deeply miss draining in that city. I'm in Calhan, CO at the moment and we have nothing that we can explore here.

| | | Hey all. I'm new. ...obviously. I live in Minneapolis, and just discovered this wonderful and extensive subculture, much to my delight and utmost surprise. All my life I have been fiercely curious. I ask questions about everything. I read. I look around constantly, and (from what I can gather) notice a lot more than the average person might. I'm into photography (currently without a decent camera), and urban subjects have always interested me. Particularly tall buildings and bridges. Colleges are also rife with cool little nooks and whatnot. There's so much mystique in the city, and I want to experience every bit of it. In spite of my nature, I have never gone urban exploring. I'm one of those 'good kids' I guess, following the rules far more often than not. I think if I had ever had anyone to see the city with I would have spent more time below ground than above. And NOW I find you guys! : D So I've been running around this great internet of ours, learning as much as I can and trying hard to contact anyone in my area. My search led me here. Thanks to the community for coming from all over to be part of such an awesome site! I'll be around. -Gravity P.S. My heart goes out to Ninj's family and friends. I haven't been around long, but even I can tell he was a remarkable man. Peace.

| | | Hey hey everyone! I'm a 21 year old bloke from southern England and I've just discovered Urban Exploration. I found out all about it from a rivet head forum website known as Sykospark. I've always loved the urban wasteland in the English cities and town, sometimes even the villages, but I've never actually taken pictures of my favorite areas. Now I've found a reason to! I live in North Hampshire, in the Andover/Basingstoke area at the moment which is a very lightly built up area but all industry around here is purely industrial so I could probably get some interesting factory style shots. I hope to get a lovely welcome here!

| | | Posted by Servo From now on, please post in this thread if you feel the need to introduce yourself to the forum before you begin posting (this is not required to be a member, as you can "introduce" yourself simply by making some contributions to the forum). Alternatively, if you want to make your presence known to a specific region, you can post some info in the regional boards. But from now on, introductions left in Main/Other will be merged here. Also, please only reply to introductions when you have something more to contribute than "Welcome to the forum". Thanks!

Hi, I'm not new to the board or to exploring. Needed a break, and now I'm back. Live in Massachusetts. My fave things to explore are old buildings, whether they are abandoned or not. Cemeteries, old houses, factories, and a few hospitals.

| | | Hi everybody, I'm kinda new to UE and have really only explored an abandoned house nearby that my friends and I got into. It was cool until about a year when whoever owned it decided to put it up for sale. Anyway, being 16 I probably won't have much new stuff to put here but I love to look at people's pictures and read stories about their experiences. One of these days I'll probably check out some abandoned places in San Antonio.

| | | Hello all, I've been a member for over a year but didn't post anything yet. So, here's my first one. I'm Dietrich, 18 years old, and I live in Belgium near Ghent and Aalst. I'm currently studying computer technologies at college. I've been interested in urban exploration, without actually knowing the hobby had a name. Abandoned factories have always interested me. When I was 6 years old, I sometimes went to see near an abandoned iron works near my home. I discovered the "urban exploration" hobby about three years ago, while browsing the web. Since then I regularly visit UE websites and recently started planning to visit some abandoned factories near Aalst. I'm also planning a Dutch website for UE articles and forums, since I am unable to find any good Dutch ones (many excellent photo galleries but no general website). I hope I'll be able to contribute useful information to UER. Regards
