um no that big building is the one on the corner of peel and ste catherine. the building on the left in the foreground is the former bank on the corner of stanley.

the hmv building is the dominion square building, it is out of frame to the right. the building you see here is built into a block, the dominion square building is a standalone building

yep, try to picture going from Atwater to Peel in those days by public transportation. No Metro and two way traffic. You got on the ever crowded 15 and to tell you the truth it was a lot more enjoyable in many ways. There was something more "human" happening and people were smiling ( at least a lot more than you see on the Metro) and much more open to each other, more understanding----Of course there has ALWAYS been arseholes too, LOLOL!

and back then burnside didnt get you anywhere, it wasnt till they poked a hole in the drummond appartments that it got better
