Interesting how the top floor was added to the 1921 structure with absolutely no attempt to blend in. I wonder when it was added?

In certain jurisdictions, historical preservation guidelines dictate that additions to a historical building cannot be architecturally similar to the existing building so there's no doubt about what is original and what is not. This may be true here.

I actually like the difference here.. There is nothing more offputting than seeing something obviously modern 'trying' to blend in and sticking out like a sore thumb.
The building here looks like it's wearing a nice new hat - no apology to anyone! ;-)
