  I'll do what I can.

These are harrows, I think... they're used to break up the soil and make it soft and easy to plant in.

  Wait, my bad... I can't tell the scale here. If the discs are small, it's for breaking up the soil into small rows... usually a precursor to a grain crop, if I remember right,

If they're larger, then it's for making large rows for planting things like tobacco or potatoes.

  they're pretty large...by that i mean maybe a foot across or slightly smaller. Uh, is that large, as far as harrows go?

  That's small for plow blades. We had one back home for the tater fields that had two-foot discs.
