Lessee... the red thing in the foreground is a seeder, I think. We had one that was much older and crappier than this, but the basic shape is the same. You push it along, or get a pull from the tractor. The blade at the front opens up the ground and then a bin (not pictured) dispenses seed.
The big metal cylinder in the background is VERY familiar, it's used to flatten down the tops of rows after planitng. To what end I never asked. I suspect it's to tamp the dirt down so rain doesn't wash it away. My father has one that is identical. He still uses it and it's older than me.
The rusty junk in between the two, I've no idea. Parts of it look like a comb for straightening hay.
