The Pipeworks
Explored
in March 2001 the Pipeworks was found by listening into a snippet of information
while traveling on a train. I overheard a worker explaining to a friend that
he was looking for a new job because the pipe factory he was working at was
closing. Finding the place took almost 2 months. On and off I cruised out
to explore pipe factories marked on my street map. I finally found one located
about a kilometer away from the railway line I had been originally riding
on. It had a for sale sign, and showed signs of having recently been closed.
I have been to the pipe works twice, and plan to explore it a few times yet. It is due for demolition in October 2001.
