Media FAQ

I welcome queries from the media and requests for interviews. Like many in our sport, I am keen to spread news of our sport, but in a responsible way. As I travel a lot the best way to interview me is to email me a list of your questions and a bit about the style of article you are planning to do.

Images on this web site were almost all taken with digital camera. Many have been shrunken or compressed before placement on this web site. I have copies of most images stored on CD at 640 by 480 pixels. I can email these copies for use in printed media and media web sites. I do not charge money for legitimate media agencies to use the images I email to them. Nor do I charge any cost for interviews.

Conditions of media interviews.

I request that I not be quoted out of context, and that all information be presented in an honest and truthful way. I do not mind negative reports, so long as they are honest and no deception is used to obtain them.

It is a condition of all interviews for print media that a copy of the resulting article can be displayed on this web site 6 months after printing, and that no cost be charged for this.

It is a condition of all interviews for video media that a video of the resulting story can be displayed on this web site 6 months after going to air for the first time, and that no cost be charged for this.

It is a condition of all interviews for Web sites that a copy of the web page can be displayed on this web site if the Web page is removed from the Web, and that no cost be charged for this.

It is a condition of all other interviews that a copy of the resulting story in whatever form it takes can be displayed on this web site 6 months after being produced and that no cost be charged for this.

There is no charge for interviews other than sundry charges incurred communicating with me such as telephone, email access or fuel costs incurred by the interviewer. I myself charge no costs for interviews.
