Yeah I am very annoyed by this whole thing. I find it very weird, that a week ago she was so excited about my new job and everything else, and then today i had to call the lawyer and give them my info so they could finalize the papers.

This is for the best, i was pressured into the whole marriage, i wanted to wait, but she put on a great show as the worlds best girlfriend. then we got married and it all changed. Theres really to much to get into, and i dont wanna bore everyone with all the shit that has gone. But thank you everyone who has been kind to me during this. i just needed to get this out there bc i still have a hard time believing this is real.

The agreement you're about to enter into will authoritatively dictate whether anyone's claiming anything. She has engaged legal representation, and so should you.

Open the phone book, find a local family/divorce lawyer, make an appointment. You have a child, and so an obligation to do this properly.

It seems you've let yourself be walked over - now would be a good time to stop that.

I would go one step further and seek out an attorney who specializes in representing men in divorce. They are out there, and a quick google search will find them.

You can also contact the bar association for your state and have them recommend a lawyer for you. In Tennessee, they charge $40 and give you three names of lawyers who will offer a free twenty minute consultation.

Even though you feel you don't have anything to separate, it's good to have representation in case she claims something is hers when it isn't.
