I don't know what's classier, the "diamond-quilted red velvet" interior or the titties on the paint job.

I want this soooo much. Kreiger!

Thats a really good price for an Iltis! Even needing engine work, wish it was closer.

There was a completely restored one for sale here in CO a few years back for 4k. Totally new everything and even had the correct trailer for it.

Wanted it something fierce but couldnt afford it. They are rare in Canada but its unheard of to find one here.

They're actually sorta common here- not Cavalier common by any means, but if you look on Kijiji or Craigslist, there's usually one on there. They were assembled by Bombardier under license from VW here. I live by Canada's biggest military base (I think it is, anyhow) and they even still have a couple of them running around there.

They share a steering wheel with a '70s Bug, but the center crest is a Bombardier logo instead of the Wolfsburg crest- always wanted to get one of those horn buttons for a Beetle just to confuse people.

i had a 71 Bronco half-top (2 seater-302 V8) and my dad had a 76 Bronco wagon (200-I6)... they were unstoppable in mud or snow and great off-road. This is unique, but $22k???? Doesn't that seem a bit pricey for something that was maybe $3k new?

I have a hard on for this......I really really like that engine and the 2.5RS is a damn fine sleeper when it's probably comparable to an STI. =P

Hah... Subaru with a misfire and a small coolant leak? ...Head gasket! If he can do the engine swap but can't figure out a misfire or a small leak, something is fishy. And that rollcage wouldn't be legal for most forms of motorsport. This thing has been fucking POUNDED.

probably... did you catch the Mighty Car Mods build of an old Legacy (Liberty in Australia) using a 3.6L EZ36 from a B9 Tribeca? that's MAAAAAAADDDDD.

the whole build series is great... I really have the Subaru bug bad now... Looked at a 2005 2.5 RS today as well as a 2005 Impreza Sport wagon.

Well THAT looks fun!!! I miss all of my Subies.

A good friend of mine uses his daily driver Legacy wagon for drift competitions, and does well.
