| | | garfield doesnt have rail access anymore from what i have seen, also the tramway tracks behind were finally pulled up about 8 years ago, the line to ville st pierre shown in the above picture will probably be maintained because its the only CN access to esdc/century, they store some equipment on the old dominion bridge property and it is the only access. the branch off here that was the last remaining track on the canadian car and foundry property has also been ripped up. the road in the foreground was built during construction on the ville st pierre interchange, its purpose was to allow busses to come directly from lachine to notre dame, it was built on the former tramway right of way, they followed this, then along victoria, down next to dominion bridge (tracks still in the road) along notre dame in lachine, then back along victoria to a terminus where dixie pool is now. that line catered to a lot of golfers wanting to go to the club that is now queen of angels academy. the plan for the rail link to dorval was already published, the turcot area is untouched, it would probably end up as a simple deviation from the CN line at the dorval station on an elevated line, speaking of the turcot interchange, its quebecs only 5 deck and it runs amazingly smooth
