| | | Here is my pissed off rant, and boy does it feel good to rant and rave about it. I moved into the house I live in now about 2 years ago. I am renting this house. I have gone though about 4 roommates and they pretty much have all turned into nightmares and all around bad situations. Throughout all of it though, I've remained in this house and have worked hard to do so because I love this house, this neighborhood and it's about 30 seconds away from my child care provider (which comes in handy since I'm a single mom with 2 small children.) Anyway, the neighbors to the left are cool. They are laid back and just... whatever. The neighbors to my right however, suck hardcore. About a week after I moved in, the lady (retired and has nothing better to do than yardwork... that goes for her husband as well) made a comment about my grass: "Oh bless your heart! Is your lawnmower broken? You know you can get them pretty cheap at garage sales... and your poor dog! He must be having a hard time adjusting to the new house. He just barks and barks when you're away. Bless his little heart." wtf. I soon started paying someone to cut the grass. Soon, after the first roommate failed, I struggled a bit just to pay my rent so had to buy a lawnmower and do it myself. I also started putting my dog inside all the time when I was gone, just to please her bi-polar, two faced, passive aggressive, old woman self. So some time passes, I have a car accident and cannot mow my lawn due to a spinal injury. Keep in mind, my lawn never got high enough for me to be cited by the city, so why she cared, I have no clue. Again, she made a comment about my grass. I told her what happened, and again my heart was blessed. More time goes by, I have a friend cut the grass for me and all is well for months. About a month ago I bought my girls one of those flimsy kiddie pools that only stand up when you have water in them. It's small, but massive fun for them. The downside is that I have to drain it and re-fill it every 3 days or so because algae starts to grow and it's kinda gross. It also kills the grass in a big circle underneath. Today, I mowed my lawn, drained the pool, moved it and was about to re-fill it when you-know-who pops her apple granny looking head over the fence to tell me my dog barked last night while I was out. Then she told me that my kiddie pool was a mosquito breeder and that we must be getting 'eaten alive' over here. I informed her that no such thing was happening since I drain the pool every 3 days, (With the exception of last week since I was in Kansas City) and she acted annoyed. Then she commented on how my yards grass was 3 different colors and I should water more often, that her friends (My landlords) would appreciate knowing that I keep my yard watered.
GRRRRRRRRRR!! What an old whore. I hope a tornado touches down in her backyard ONLY and messes up her more than perfect assortment of yard bullshit. I also want to plant pink flamingos in her yard one night and mow stripes in her lawn that are opposite of what they always mow. I think somehow putting her on the Jehovah's Witness' mailing list of who to visit most often should happen too. Maybe a subscription to some horrible magazine... Or better yet, after seeing her trim her shrubs, sneak over at night and cut one just BARELY uneven from the rest. The next day when she notices and wonders how the Hell she did that and fixes it, do it again the following night.
Any other ideas?
Anyone else have annoying neighbors that PISS THEM OFF?

| | | There's always the baggie of flaming dog poo on the doorstep. I just got rid of some lousy neighbors. I'm sure I told everybody about the rat we had. I live in a two family house, we own our side, a miserable bitch owns the other and rents it out to crackwhores and weirdos. Well, she moved out. Along with it, she told her landlady that we drove her out because of the rat and that we wanted her to keep a drain clean. If that drain isn't clear in the wintertime, our basement floods with snow runoff that flows over from the other side. We asked her to take her garbage off of her porch and to please at least close the screen door because animals will get in and eat the stuff or move in and live there. The rat was from the garbage. It got into the wall and down into our basement. We caught it and killed it. We showed her the corpse. She insisted when her landlady asked about it that it was a squirrel or a muskrat. The drain issue has been an issue since we moved in. If it's not kept plowed out and the ice in the drain melted with an electric system or a kettle of boiling water, when the snow in the parking lot next door melts, it floods my basement. She said we drove her out because we kept harassing her over these things. All we did was ask politely or go over and clean out the drain ourselves. She finally moved out about three weeks ago. Maybe your neighbor will eventually too? Shael

| | | So, is your landlord REALLY grannys friend?? Or did your landlord move out because of granny's annoying ways? Some people are just nit-picking blowhards with too much time on their hands except to find faults with others. Unfortunately, I think the elderly may make up a large part of that population. My friend has the same kind of neighbor. Bitches about my friends lawn, the noise of warming the car up in the morning, etc etc. The neighbor is a "bird" person. All kinds of birdfeeders and birdbaths in her yard. My friend has birdshit all over his car, his railings, etc because of these birds. My friend bought a cat, and the cat sometimes "gets" some of these birds and then leaves their carcasses on the neighbors porch! Course in your situation, dog pee is actually quite effective. And if there is enough of it, the smell is awful.

| | | Seriously? Because I'll do it... as long as you're not going to like, you know... kill them or anything. So, is your landlord REALLY grannys friend?? Or did your landlord move out because of granny's annoying ways? | Yup. The landlords lived in this house when it was first built in the early (80's maybe?) and they were buddies. The landlords struck it rich when hubby became good at golf and that is all he does now. She's an accountant, so they moved to the rich RICH part of town. (The landlords, that is.. the neighbors do NOTHING all day) The neighbors are very much into birds as well and I guess the birds want a spotless, weed free backyard to hang out in. ? Granny next door even suggested I put out bird feeders. I told her that during the spring and summer there are enough web worms in my trees to feed all the birds in Texas and that if I put out food, they won't eat the worms that are a PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET RID OF BY MYSELF. I pointed out that the birds could also drink from the kiddie pool that she hates so much. See, the kids have fun, and the birds don't go without water. It's a win/win for everyone!

Seriously. Imagine her amazement when she looks at the post mark on the envelope and discovers that it was sent from some tiny island off the coast of British Columbia. And that the contents of the letter describe in detail some of the bullshit she tosses around. I'll sign off on the letter by telling her that I have collected information pertinent to the situation by way of a super-spy satellite, and that I can see into her bathroom when she's taking a pee. WTF indeed.
| HAHA.. I totally wanna do it. I must note that normally, I'm not a vengeful person. However, I really feel the only reason why she picks on me and not anyone else in this neighborhood is because she feels my kind should be restricted to the less nice neighborhoods in this city. I'm a single mom with 2 kids struggling to stay in a nice neighborhood so my kids can go to a good school, play outside without some pervert offering them candy, and have a nice backyard to play in and a safe street to ride bikes on. Yes, I struggle to make it and I do live paycheck to paycheck, but I don't receive ANY government assistance such as food stamps or welfare. I pay for my childcare and bills with my job, not tax payers money. Sure, I could probably go get it... but if I can make it as I have been, I don't NEED it and I'm not one to take advantage of the system just so I can spend my earned money on luxuries and stuff we don't really need. This neighbor is discriminating against me because of the fact that I am the only single parent on this block. Everyone else is married with children, middle aged and they all have nice jobs and don't worry about things like water bills so they can afford to water their lawn 4 hours a day. I can't. She has made several comments about me not being married... "You just need to find you a good man to help you take care of that yard.." and "How long do you plan on living in this house?" When I first moved in and she found out my two daughters have different dads, she gave me the most surprised look and gasped a little. Fuck her and her perfect world. To me, it's a fantasy world. (I'm still pissed off.)

| | | What's beautiful about my situation... I heard something I've been waiting for today that makes it all worth it. My neighbor's former landlady came to the house today, the place next door, well, she and the cleaning lady she hired went inside for the first time since my neighbor moved in and they found it a disaster. Venetian blinds cut and broken, the carpets destroyed, garbage and dirt everywhere, the stove and sink dirty and black as the Ace of Spades. What makes it more funny is that before the landlord can rent it out...the front porch has to be rebuilt and the place has to be rewired and renovated inside. Basically, read that as completely gutted because of the mess. My home may not be the neatest thing on the face of the earth and you might not like the dust in the corners, but from what I heard from the cleaning lady...my place is a palace compared to the mess she left. The landlady is now eating her words. The night before I left on my trip last month, she called my step father and told him that he had driven my neighbor to move and called him every nasty name in the book over the phone. Hopefully the bitch apologizes, but it'll be a cold day in hell before that happens. Shael
