Did he have any idea where the oil was leaking from? (And don't say "the engine.")

A gasket.

Well played, sir.

I went and looked at this over the weekend, because wagon/turbo/5 speed. Despite the ad, it's very very far from excellent condition (every body panel has scratches, no service records, rust in front of rear wheels, etc.) but offered the guy $1600 anyway since it would be a fun beater. No luck... he thinks it's worth $3k and he's doing a favor at $2k.

There was an immaculate '85 GLH for sale in Wisconsin last week that I missed. Original owner, too. For $1500.

Dunno if this counts, but my son found this over the weekend:

2006 LJ. He traded in his 97 TJ and his 2006 Pt Cruiser for it.

Any deal that deletes a PT Cruiser from your driveway is a solid transaction.
