I think its because the Mercedes guys don't know anything about trucks so they left that to us.

I don't want to give you a hard time Sheriff, but MB has made some of the most amazing trucks ever, especially in the off road department. Show me something factory made, non military, has four wheels, that can out do a Unimog... :P

Yes, but he said that "can out do a Unimog"

Interesting tidbit: Under DalmlerChrysler, there was a talk of selling the Unimog in the US under the Dodge emblem.

Mogs are street legal in Europe. I saw one here with Swiss plates, had a camper on the back, I think they can be made street legal for North America. That's a side issue, but a good one. If not street legal, we can't do wheelies over speed bumps at the mall

A 4 wheeler? I would put it up against a Rubicon in the rocks. Depends on the terrian I imagine.

Comparing though an Unimog to an F350 is like comparing Samarai to Nismo; it is just not right!

Our local Mercedes dealership has a few 'Mogs. They use one for a snow plow. They're all licensed on the road.

Hey, they both like cars and deal with snow.
