Why People Believe Weird Things by Michael Shermer.

“We are not going to have the kind of cooperation we need if everyone insists on their own narrow version of reality. … the great divide in the world today … is between people who have the courage to listen and those who are convinced that they already know it all.”

I just finished reading Left For Dead by Beck Weathers.

Don't read this book. It is terrible. Weathers is a massive dick.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

I read Jon Krakauer's Into Thin Air and yeah, he seems like a dick.

This thread. The plot is kinda weak, and the writing is kindy shitty.

A Devil's Chaplain by Richard Dawkins. On deck is Return of the Sorcerer, by Clark Ashton Smith, fresh from the Sci Fi Book Club.

I'm trying to read The End of Poverty by Sachs. Having trouble getting into it.

Just finished Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison, one of those Malthusian nightmares with some paragraphs of lecturing about birth control. Still a fun read tho.

Also just finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

"The Story of My Boyhood and Youth" By John Muir. I just started it a couple days ago, and I am a slow reader but so far there have been a couple interesting bits.
