day before yesterday, i got into an argument with my younger brother and tore out of his driveway with tires a'spinnin, engine a bouncin'... and now, its very louder than it was. I can't tell if I broke the headpipe (again) or loosened it on my Cobalt.

this is a part that was replaced back before the bumper to bumper expired. The part alone was over $400.

grrr..... i fix one and fuck another one up all in the same fucking day.

i was thinking of trading for a Chevy Sonic and just having one car... I'm sick of upkeep on two damn cars.

for those of you who no habla chevrolet... this is the Sonic:

sam take my advice, STAY AWAY its not a chevy, my woman has an optra, its a daewoo too, parts commonality is non exhistant on top of that not very robust, in 3 years shes spent about 2000$ on suspension. my mechanic said on a cavalier it would have been 600$ to do the same work, but on the cavalier half that shit wouldnt have happened.

Sam, if you looking to leave the Colbalt world, why not go all the way? Get a Subaru? Nothing wrong with having 2 cars, just make one the project. Make one the DD.

Projected values in 4 years:
Sonic = $650
Impreza = $11,000

And the Subie doesn't look like a sawed off Chevy Uplander.
Remember the last time GM sold a outsourced shitbox subcompact with a turbo? The Swift turbo. Those cars held together for nearly a month.

All of this. Ya know the amount of pissed you are right now making a payment and being upside down? Get something used that holds value and be less angry. I will never buy new again unless I have a $100,000 in the bank and can afford to take the loss.

i have to say, i have never been so happy as i am now, first time since 1983 there hasnt been a j-body in the family, firts time since 1997 i dont own a J. I still have the grand prix to fly down the highway in the summer, but my second hand 2005 mazda b4000 is the best buy ive ever had. Sam consider a second hand car, there are some goodies out there.

Know ya don't want a Honda Sam, but the Fit is a better car. You know this. How bout a Mazda 2? Honestly, you deserve better than a rebadged Daewoo.

My only advice to to you Samurai is that your will regret getting a cheap car like the Sonic. I regret not driving something I didn't feel right in while I was between the Caravan and the Jeep. You need to feel right in the car.

I think you can do that without getting a motorized breadbox.

Weren't you thinking of getting a small used truck?
