700 Woodward Avenue, Hamilton, Ontario

its the large area just above where google maps take you, with all the black squares.

People here are dicks and dont want to give you the outright address to abandonments because they are elitist. I suggest going during the day, walk past any security you see like you own the place. Mind the smell. Take lots of photos too please.

700 Woodward is a wrong location, i went there and that's a water treatment facility and a Globe Park.

I believe the correct location is at the back of one of the Hamilton waste station along the Burlington street.

I drove around and the gates were close and fenced with barbed wires. Looked similar to the ones showed on pictures with green windows. Unfortunately I couldn't get in a at all. In result, I am still not 100% percent sure if I found the right place. I also spent 25$ on gas driving all the way from Richmond Hill, epic fail.

you will probably hate me for life now if you really were so gullable. Thats fine.

Maybe if you google mapped the address in the sarcastic reply you would see that its clearly wrong. Or if you spend 30 seconds on google searching for firestone you would of found the correct place.

The point is, nothing is ever free. If you are looking for hand outs the forums are the wrong place. Any self respecting explorer will not post an exact address or even the full name of great places. It is easy to get peoples help finding places, private messages are great and that way you can find other people to explore with aswell, if you wish.

And thanks for the lulz. You made my day. And thats worth 25 dollars.

This would be correct. As for the barb wire it does not surround the entire place.

Also the name of the street that the place is on is called Tire rd, but driving to find Tire rd will prove to be hard.

lol I love that some people are douche bags and give the wrong address. I got the address to this location for free do I consider myself very lucky and for some people to know that yeah, sometimes stuff is free. I also find it funny that nobody shares anything with people here unless your in the cool clike but I have been saying that for months.

Best thing to do is try google maps and actually type in the name into where your suppose to put the address. Alot of the times it works but it doesn't seem to work for Firestone.

Like Hearn: http://maps.google...6&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=11 and look for a letter that is a different colour then the other ones.

He (she?) has been registered on uer for almost 2 years and waited all that time to craft this as a first post:

"Hey guys, what's the approx. address for this awesome place? I cant find it anywhere on the internet, only know it's in Hamilton!"

I've had people share with me before and I've shared with others (including you) but first post?? Come on.

I know but to give a wrong address. I'd rather say nothing at all but that's me. Well I guess the op will know for next time!

You cannot admire a good joke that exploits lazy people. There were huge amounts of sarcasim written all over the address message and anyone getting any information from the internet should be smart enough to run two google searches. One on the address i gave, and one for 'firestone hamilton'.

Its not a popularity contest at all. I have shown lots of people the sites in hamilton and most of them i did not know before. All of them private messaged me.

I'd tell you to loosen up and laugh a little, however i wouldnt want you to choke on your colon.

Perhaps you should look up the definition of sarcasm. Usually there is some amount of wit involved.

A heads up that I read on another forum: Firestone is being demolished this summer. Security was also beefed up as a direct result of the recent popularity of the location and the demolition may actually be as of a result of that. (now that it's known that people frequent the site, it's cheaper to tear it all down than to secure it). Apparently Hamilton Public Works wants the land anyway.

Wait until someone posts one of your finds and it gets whored out, you'll know why. Firestone is so large its extra funny that someone didn't take the time to look at the aerial view before bothering to go down there.

I don't care if somebody posts one of my finds and it gets whored out. I agree though, looking at an aerial view probably would have been smart.
