It would be difficult to say that they interfered with anyone's enjoyment of a sewer.

Is that legally binding? Would that hold up if you wanted to have some fun? The Enjoyment of the sewer? I mean wasn't their Enjoyment of the sewer interfered with by people who aren't in fact an Authority on the Subject??

P.s. turn this into free City planners and Engineering degree at the City's Expense to train the City in Sewers and the such and you win all the internets

ahahaha

I will defeat that which was once untouchable only so that I may now move on

Just don't tell everyone that it is Yokes and Manitou. That is common courtesy.

Probably thread merges by mods. It seems this conversation has been running in triplicate today.

Hi guys,

I realize the names are in the article, but it is a matter of courtesy to not repost them here on the site. In 2 weeks, the article will no longer be available on thestar's website, and for that reason the names shouldn't be in the thread either.

I know that the two people in question are not secretive about their identities, but it should be them who decide when and where to post their names, not you. It's called respecting someone else's right to privacy, even when it's been apparently "blown away" by the media.

Thanks,
-av

Not to mention a criminal trespass charge wouldn't likely stick since there were no notices posted, nor any criminal intent.

And of course, the fact that in Canada there's no such thing as "criminal trespass", you'd be correct!

It's called respecting someone else's right to privacy

While I totally agree with keeping their names out of this thread out of respect, I don't agree with this "right to privacy".

The individuals involved were charged with a crime. The Canadian legal system is open and transparant for all. There would be nothing stopping any of us from sitting in on any of their hearings or trials. As soon as you get yourself arrested, your right to privacy (in matters before the courts) goes away.

I think argonian's point is a good one... There has been no post that ties the names of the accused to any theorttical membership here. (a good thing)

________ asked that it be passed on that he thought lopix did a pretty decent job on Global, just in case anyone here cared. FWIW, I agree.

I suspect most of the staff at Global and most Toronto media outlets have already forgotten the story by this point, since the entire city's news crews have probably packed up shop to drive to Beamsville, to interview a 10 year old street hockey player about his opinion on skateboarding behind cars their friends are driving.

[/thread]

The individuals in question may not have a right to privacy in the courts, but this is a website that I own, and my rule says that posting their real names without their explicit permission is not allowed.

Now this chick just called on the Edge and talked live with Fred about urbex saying how cool it was and mentioned places along lakeshore "like those big silos" that are really easy to get into and this other place "where a guy died last year" so you have to be really careful... but it's really cool... She even talked about steam tunnels at a downtown college or university that she was dragged into. Told people to check out infiltration.org
FAKKK!!!

Now all these wannabees are going to be ruining it for the lot of us this summer, way to go chickie!

To be fair everyone and their mom knows about the silos. But its good to see others getting out of their hum-drum world(s) and actually wanting to explore the brickworks/malt/hearn. Here's hoping its done tactfully.

I guess its been a slow (couple) of days for the news.

He means Breaking and entering with intent (348). Couldn't they charge them with it, since they had (n the opinion of police) a "criminal intent" of committing mischief.
