| | | Ulive - that is really cool. I'm thinking of a beer cap coffee table. We'll see how it goes. I'll likely get a bunch of caps saved and then give up, but hopefully I'll do it. To all: J.W. Dundee Wheat Beer "An American-style, unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color with a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. Pleasant spicy malt aroma and a crisp hop finish." ABV: 4.2% IBU: 18 Info from their website. Nice, light, crisp, and cloudy beer. Smooth and surprisingly refreshing (doesn't leave you thirsty). Highly recommended.
and also, Sam Adams White Ale. Second lightest beer I've had after Hoegaarden. Good, but I don't know too much about it. I had it with a burger too, and didn't take much time to taste the beer. Went well with the burger, definitely.

| | | Posted by dirt Tell me you have been to The Trappist!
| The Trappist is a nice place, but it's too narrow, and the service is hit or miss. On the other hand, I appreciate that they know what they're pouring and treat it right with proper stemware and whatnot. Just discovered Cafe Biere on Adeline in Emeryville. Much more chill, and they have pretty good, reasonably priced food like daily pizza specials, mussels cooked two ways, etc. They cook with different beers too. On Wednesdays after 6 or so, they continually bring out bottles to open for everyone to try for free. Although they don't have anything I haven't tried yet, they've got 6 or 7 taps and a good selection of bottles from around the world. There's a real sense of friendliness between the staff and patrons that I appreciate. Check it out if you haven't yet.
