by the way seicer.

your choice wasn't between shitting in the abandonment or holding it in.

your choice was

A. Shitting in the abandonment
B. Holding it in and continuing the mission
C. Leaving the abandonment and finding a gas station or restaurant like any normal person would

I suppose that to you, finishing the mission is more important than your professed ethics.

I've been to two parties at the brickworks, one of them was unfortunately before I really took an interest in UE and I didn't truly understand the historical significance of the place.

Do I think the brickworks is a bad place for a party? Yes, I do. Because of its significance. Especially when there are other abandonments lacking in that significance that are already in far worse shape than the brickworks that are better suited to the purpose (I can think of a few sites in Liberty Village, actually).

The second party I went to at the brickworks wasn't actually in the brickworks. It was in the park, outdoors, which I was perfectly fine with. Thats a good use for that park at night, since the bowl shape of it creates a natural amphitheater that traps the sound really well. Even better if you can rig up a portable shelter (one of the soundsystems used to have a very large yurt-like shelter they would use for parties). Even thats kind of bad because it disturbs the birds in that park, but its acceptable to me.

what makes you think i want to see your buddys turd any more than i want to see graffiti?

Depending that it was in a toilet, I doubt you'd be "sharing" it with anybody. We get shits and giggles out of it, hence the fascination out of the candid toilet shots everyone does for the hell of it.

i only support if someone else has already wrecked the place to begin with.

if i came across a virgin site that looked like it had been virtually untouched since it was abandoned, the last thing i would do is tell anyone associated with a soundsystem.

An abandonment is an abandonment. It is very rare to find a virgin location, the exceptions always being ones you never expected. Fostoria Glass was one of them that my friend Oherian discovered, and that a successful trip to it proved. If a raver or any other shithead had gone in and trashed it, his ass would be mine. I don't care if it was for your own jollies, that shit isn't accepted on an urban exploration web-site.

come to think of it, i doubt i would share it with UER if it were really interesting.

That's your opinion, thankfully not many other people share your elitist attitude. Is this why we have yet to see a contribution from you?

BTW, did you check out my contributions to UER and my vast amount of 2000+ photographs and 100+ explorations (many of which are not online at the moment)? Because I vouched for my credibility but you have yet to...

Well, since apparently you read like old people fuck, you failed to see that it was not I who took a shit. Go back and re-read the entire thread, instead of snippets. There are people in newsgroups who do better at holding a plausible conversation than you.

If I was in that situation, I am faced with:

A. Shitting in a toilet in a closed room.
B. Holding it and taking the chance of shitting in my pants, thus ruining them.
C. Holding it and getting health problems as a result.
D. Trying to leave the abandonment, which is risky since most take a lot of time and consideration to try to get into. Rushing to get out, while carrying a bag of camera equipment, a tripod, light, and other provisions, and lugging it through a window to get out, is quite hard, especially if you are "holding it." Then you gotta hurry to your vehicle, which is in most cases far from the abandoned building.

Unless you are a fucking moron and park it right next to it.

You gotta then drive yourself to a said gas station or restaurant, which might be far away depending on the remoteness of the abandonment, which can waste many minutes. What if you had to shit late at night? Will they be open?

Damn, might as well drag a porta-pottie with you everywhere you go. Or take a plastic bag and shit in and leave it outside for the animals to poke at.

I suppose that to you, finishing the mission is more important than your professed ethics.

Well, once again, you failed to look at the contributions on both UER and my web-site, the numerous interviews I have done with various media outlets and print magazines, etc. Take a breather, look at what I have done, then come back. Your head will be much clearer.

we have yet to see a contribution to the DB from me because I and my friend whom I explore with haven't owned cameras yet (my buddy just got one a few weeks back).

and yes, it can take a long time to get out of an abandonment. and a long time to drive to a gas station. many gas stations and convenience stores are open 24/7 by the way. but you do raise some good points.

on the other hand, so do I.

and I don't share your fascination with human feces, by the way.

and it seems like we are in agreement about one thing : neither of us wants to see a site thats still in good condition get trashed.

I don't have a fascination, I just find it a natural bodily function that is required, unless you want long-term health impacts (no pun intended) with your colon or your anus.

That's great to hear, but you gotta understand that there is a big difference between controlling 5 people (when shitting for a bodily function in a toilet, with said points already being discussed) is far different than controlling 25-100+ people who are high on drugs, drunk and curious to wonderabout, not to mention the loud music alone would irk the presence of police...

Wow this thread has gone from talking about the brickworks to shitting in abandonments.

Isn't there already a "shitting in abandonments" thread here? Taking a poop in an abandoned building's toilet is nothing compared to trashing a place under the guise of holding a party there...
