OUCH. That's gotta hurt Toyota

One question Sam..... how does anything Toyota related make someone elitist? when i think of elite.... I think BMW, Benz, Audi or something
When I think Toyota I think, average run of the mill, don't draw any extra attention

The vibe will be in there too, it uses the same parts as the Matrix. Where its made is one of the plants there are currently putting down for a week. My plant isn't going down.

Ouch. That's a huge recall. Definitely a big hit to the company's reputation.

Yup, that's gonna hurt.

Out here, most Toyota owners are bland, large glasses wearing middle aged people that all look the same, regardless of gender, and they don't have an elitist complex about their cars because they don't even know how to open the trunk. They just know the cupholders were redesigned in '08 and they fit water bottles! There are beige Corollas everywhere... err, I mean frosted mink pearl Corollas.

I can see how that would get annoying.
Around here they just go unoticed in a sea of ridiculous over sized pick em up trucks. They sort of blend in to the environment because they are everywhere, like a Focus, Impala, Civic, bone stock 1/2 ton chevy or Co.....never mind

I'll admit, I lol'd when I read this. I've never been a big fan of Toyota. If I'm gonna buy a Jap car, I'll go Honda.

Toyota might be better off making actual dishwashers.

Don't buy either if you demand any kind of performance out of your vehicle; Hondas shit out faster than Toyotas when driven like most MA/NY/NJ drivers. Neither company makes a sports car anymore.

And most Japanese "sports cars" are twice as expensive to insure as American daily drivers with similar displacements.

I don't drive like you crazies up in the NE. I grew up in the South, I take my time driving to where I'm going.

Besides, if I want a sports car, it better have 8 or more cylanders, a rotary engine (RX-8) or a fucking turbine/jet engine.

I really wish Chrysler would've developed their turbine car more....that shit would've been fun as hell to drive around.

have you ever driven an RX-8?
it handled well, that was about all I had nice to say about it. The rotary just comes on so weird...

Yeah, I have. I enjoyed it, actually. Handles really nicely, and I love the rotary engine. But then again, I seem to have a thing for "odd" engines (hence: the turbine car).

i was just thinking about Toyota's tagline:

Ask someone who owns one...
ask them what? if their Corolla has a body count?
how does it feel to have an Asian-flavored Christine?
