That's pretty much the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me on here

Hello all! Finally, newbie purgatory is over, I can intro myself ;) Obviously new to the urbex scene, but glad I've found it. I'm still trying to get situated so bare with me. Thanks for the great info posted around here... definitely what I needed.

So, that being said, I come bearing gifts... my first time out. Try to ignore the terrible pics, #1 - I was out alone... and, #2 - My adrenaline was flowing cuz of my location...

Hey everyone,

Been stalking on UER for a long time and just started posting recently. I've probably got into UrbEx for almost 2 years now. The UER meets in Toronto for the past few months have been pretty dead... so if you're in the GTA area, come to this month's July meet!

I'm going! But yeah, doesn't look like too many people are planning to attend. Is there much of a Toronto "scene"? By which I mean do people that are on UER get together and explore?

Anyway I've been into urbex since I was a kid (there was this forest with an abandoned crane near my home...I was fascinated) but only now am I doing it in a more "formal" fashion (photography, mindful of etiquette, etc.).

Just to clarify re: UER etiquette, we don't talk about specific locations in public, right? That's for pvt messages and the coveted Full Member areas? What about if your pic contains identifiable location info (e.g. business signage, street signs, etc.)

Woohoo! First post done!

Hello, everybody. My name is Thom, and live in Arizona. I was first sucked into exploring when I was a teen and stopped for some time after life things stole the majority of my time. I've recently just gotten back into it and BOY, DID I MISS IT!! If anyone else is in or coming to the Phoenix area and wants to get together to do some exploring let me know! It would be great to have some more people that share the interest to discover the world with. I will be posting a few photos to the Four Corners forum. Happy Fourth, Americans!

Hi everyone. I'm new here and still trying to figure things out. I've been an explorer for about a year now and I love the thrill of the chase so to speak. I'm a professional videographer and photographer and looking forward to contributing to this site. If someone can help me understand a little better how to become a full member so I can start making some of my own contributions. I do have a facebook page that the moderator can see that I am an Urban Explorer and that I am for real. If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated. Cheers to all!

Hello, My name is Isaac, and I've been exploring off and on for upwards of 10 years now. I am originally from Maine, but now live in Southern California. I primarily explore buildings, but also have draining experience. I explored a LOT when I was in high school, but have somewhat allowed my activities to decline due to being in the military with more severe consequences if i am caught somewhere I'm not supposed to be... but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things with UE.

Yay ! I can finally post

Sooooo. Well for the boring part; I am 27 years old, french speaking (from switzerland) and in UE stuff for a while, but took it to the next level last year by going a little further than just the neighbor streets

I discovered UER.ca about 1 year ago, while searching for places in Spain but never made the step to create an account as I didn't know at that time how serious UE was really to me. Well now I know

Places I had the chance to urbex were mostly in Scotland, England, Spain, France and Switzerland. This summer, I'll go to Belgium.

I am looking forward to share new amazing spots with you guys (maybe in the full membership there is a lot in Europe too, but as far as I can see in the public DB, I might have some very good hints ).

To begin with, a picture taken in a much visited place in France near Marseille.

New here and I wanted to say hello. I've been into urban exploration for years. However back in the day we called it "going into old buildings to check them out" as it was way before the name of "urban exploration". I'm an amateur photographer and my main interests are urban exploration and trains, especially train graffiti. I got out of the exploration for a bit. However the need to explore never leaves you and I'm getting back into it.

I'm quite a bit older now so my days of crawling over fences, etc are gone. Going under is a lot easier on me. ; ) If I have the time and money I'll go almost anywhere to explore. I look forward to being a positive force and contributing whenever I can.

James

Hey, I'm Alex! I'm from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I've just recently gotten into urban exploration, it's quite addicting! I was looking for a community to join so I can learn more and connect with others who also have an urge to explore.

Names Amanda, Im a middle aged "soccer mom" living in the cornfields of the fraser valley (BC) After looking around here the last few days, I feel somewhat of an interloper (the irony makes me chuckle ) Most of the exploring I do isnt particularly urban and I'm typically traveling in the company of my hubs and kids. I am absolutely drawn to the beauty of ruin and love knowing that I see much of what others do not. Hope to be able to make some sort of contribution to the group and will continue to love seeing what you all post up.1.

Hey all I'm Ray. I'm pretty new to the Urban Exploration scene. I'm from Oklahoma. I just wanted to announce the end of not being allowed to by saying: Hello. I'm an explorer. Thanks for the tutorials and etiquette lessons. I can't wait to get out there and explore.

Hello everybody. I'm new to urbanex, living out in West Georgia (USA). I love the idea of looking through old places and feeling the history that is still alive after everyone has gone. I can't wait to really get to meet people around me and hopefully see places I never thought about in normal life.

There seems to be quite a diversity in the UER membership both in terms of demographics and interest. I am primarily an abandoned mine explorer. And although not typically urban, it does represent industrial decay. Interesting photos are always welcomed.

Hey everyone,

My name is Daniel, and I'm brand new to the UE scene. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am not even sure where to begin (except for the old artillery batteries dotting Marin Country). If you have any tips, I'm all ears!

If you spend ANY time both reading the forum and looking around, you shouldn't have too much trouble starting out without asking for handouts right off the bat.
