Strange question, would anyone happen to have any pics of the defunct phone systems in any of the buildings here? I was talking to my Dad about our little weird hobby today. He worked for New England Telephone back in the 70s and put in most of the phones and switchboards in BSS. He was just curious if any of his "work" is now a photographic opportunity lol Anyway just curious thanks!

I'll have to go through my archives...maybe? If not, next time I will be on the look out for anything phone related.

Cool thanks! That would be great! I almost went today I was over in Chicopee but ran out of time plus I've never been there and wasn't sure about going alone and how safe I'd be etc. I do want to try to make a trip there sometime soon before school starts back up if I can though.
I really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Garu, have you been lately? Someone messaged me saying they supposedly put up motion sensors... highly doubtful and completely pointless if true. I'm guessing its just a rumor haha. If it's true though, whats next? actual security lol

I highly doubt motion sensors were installed myself.

right? and even if they were, they would just be dummies and not the real thing. it would be funny though, because they would be stolen, kidnapped, or killed within days.

Seems like a waste of taxpayer's dollars when the police station is located right on the campus.

Must be a rumor. I mean couldn't they just...ya know, look? Before bringing in expensive technology? Seriously, they could even just have someone peer out one of the police department's back windows every now and then, lol.

First they would need to seal up all the entrances, when I was there a couple months ago most of the doors were open/gone, windows broken, etc., if they installed motion sensors I'm sure there would be a lot of false alarms due to animals.

My first visit there with Weapon X and CaptainSqueaky consisted of a good 45 mins wandering around searching for a filter that fell off my mask, and there's no way the cops standing behind the station having a little pow wow didn't see us, with masks hanging off our necks. I don't think they give a shit.1.

I can't imagine them starting to put the effort into security now.

Took a trip up there today. I was surprised to see they took a brush hog and cut down a lot of the weeds and tall grass by the gate [near the power plant]. Several buildings have been sealed up again (power station for one). They boarded up the open window I used to get in there last year. The theater is still open. The maintenance shed and food service are also open (I've been meaning to get into those two forever!)

Overall it was a nice refreshing visit. Haven't been in a while and I've been looking to go back for a while.
