Canada was a test market for that horrendous car. They were designed to last 5 years, so better than a modern Hyundai.

Sorry, but you won't be saying that when they are five or ten years old.

I didn't say anything about longevity , I wouldn't buy one though I wouldn't buy a new domestic car either . I do have ONE week ness though if they import the focus RS (and don't fuck it up) I may have to buy one.

One of those (if it's not the same car) has been on eBay for awhile - I like it.

The Pony arrived in 1984. Cheap and RWD. A few years later the FWD Excel. It didn't. 5K for a new car in the mid 80's looked good on paper. Glad I couldn't afford one, might have been tempted. 2 years later they were seen pushing blue smoke. My '74 Datsun 710 (Nissan) outlasted any Hyundai by ten years, and this was being ten years old when the Hyundai was new. Not bragging, just my experience. Early to late 70's Datsun RWD manual transmission vehicles were amazing. The 510 with RWD and IRS was a classic. But there was rust. Pardon rant.

That is indeed awesome. I can see this turned into an ambulance-looking thing with a bunch of hot babes dressed as retro nurses for bachelor parties or something.

Or a creepy ice cream truck. I'm easy to please.
