This is very close to me, I'm in contact with the owner. Thoughts ? http://reading.cra...to/4721556716.html

I'm not into vans, but it looks like a good deal. Restorable without going insane.

The body on that bus looks better than most projects I've seen, but that driver's floor.... Damn.

You think so? It just looks like the carpet is rotted.

6.2L=Boat anchor
yank it out and put a 350 or 454 in it.

Boat anchors have a purpose- the 6.2 did not.

i drove the 6.5L TD V8's in Chevy Express 3500 vans for a few years and those would take a beating no diesel should ever be subjected to.

there are aftermarket ways to "fix" the 6.2 and their turdburglarness but why bother? Fuel mileage was marginally better and they are useless for towing of any kind. Although I will give GM this, they were better than the 350 diesel but not by much.

Eh the 6.2 isn't all bad. Just don't expect modern diesel performance from it and it'll be just fine.

This!

Yeah, I've worked on a friends 6.2 and sure its no Cummins 6BT, but its a motor I can understand, parts are cheap, its easy to work on and you can fix the issues.
