Oh man... this is a good example of that. I know an old guy with a TON of old cars on his property. I've been through a hundred times since I was a kid, he never sells anything but he's more than happy to let me take a walk through the place and take pictures whenever.

The story is, he was hit head on in his VW Bus in 1961- the bus was totaled, he was told he'd never walk again, etc... so he started hauling scrap cars and pushing them to their final resting place manually to build strength.

The bus he was hit head on in? Sitting in his yard since 1961.

I posted a pic of it on a VW forum and got a LOT of response from it. I finally broke down and told the location to a German dude who was staying in Canada with his girlfriend while she finished university. He was actually polite...

Anyhow, he drove out there and offered Bill $5k for it... Bill said no. (Bill is also about 200 years old).

So he offered Bill $7,000 for it. Bill finally obliged.

The thing was so rotten, he had to build a frame out of wood to keep it from collapsing on itself.

...and then wrapped in plastic to kind of hold it together.

He brought it home to Europe and is restoring it now.

The story of this particular bus gets pretty interesting if you want to do some light reading-

Identical to the one we tore apart in Mechanics during high school except it was a convertible and had less than 500 miles on it.

Im going to have to second the camper van. That thing is BADASS. and if you wants a javelin I can get one that only needs a paint job. Body work done. Built 401 and full manual 727.

$8k

We had a Z34 Lumina with like 50 miles on the clock, as well as a Tracker.

that car, with the mileage and condition its in will fetch $5k+ here all day long.
but just the 88-90's... the 91-94 models don't command near the price tag that these cars do.
