| | | Posted by Samurai subaru is a car company without an identity. sure awd sells their cars, but it's not like when you see a Subie, you think 'that's a Subie.'
| I can spot a Subaru out of a crowd without any problems. You are right about all the Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans though. At a moderate distance I can't tell the difference between a Matrix and a Prius or a Maxima and an Altima or a Civic and an Accord. The only cars with an "identity" are either iconic cars or show cars. Do you look at a Dodge Neon and say "That's a Dodge"? Probably not. But if you look at a Superbee or Challenger or Charger or Viper or even the Diplomat. "That's a Dodge". Back on topic: You either Love the way it looks or hate it. But my next car (in 5-7 years from now) will probably be Nissan 370z or the next Z model depending on what's available once I've graduated college and gotten a real job. I plan on moving out west (Nevada?) But I am thinking of getting a Retired Police Chevy Tahoe or Chevy Police Suburban at auction for off road use.
