| | | The whole 'community' thing works for just about any make, I think. Never owned a VW so I wouldn't know, but every time I pass someone with a first-gen 4Runner like mine they always smile and wave or give a thumbs up. Anyway, on topic, agreed with the Lumina APV (as well as Olds Silhouette) and the Kia Soul, and pretty much everything else in this thread. I was at Warped Tour last summer and Kia had a tent set up with a new Soul out front, I was hoping to God they were kidding. Also, my contribution goes to the Citroen 2CV. I've heard great things about its durability, but it's hideous.

| | | I'm sorry but what the fuck is it about lowered pickups that drive me crazy? What the hell is the point? The whole point in having a truck is so it can A. Haul Shit (Sometimes Literally) B. 4x4 (through Mud & Snow) For practicality you should be "redneck" jacking up the truck not lowering it. Just buy a shitty sportscar; I don't think anything screams "DOUCHE" more than a lowered pickup. And also: Soccer Moms on Cell Phones and the Honda CR-V Drivers who have pissed me off today: Four Lowered Pickups (Just because they exist; no further for a reason needed.) Three different CRV Soccer Moms all apparently trying to give directions via the phone to one another. I think I preferred the shitty weather where only people who had to drive did. And those who did knew to pay attention to the road and not cell phones. (And the lowered pickups were still snowed in.)

| that's exactly my opinion of about 98% of the Volkswagens I have come across in my 25 years of autodrama. you know what makes one community suck ass over another. It's uninformed people, people with no experience standing there looking at other cars and saying 'YOU SUCK." It makes people like me hate on those cars. Honda dicks are paramount on the list, but Nissan guys aren't even on the list. Figure that out? Ford Mustang idiots make me want to haul out a cannon, but then on the other side of my own GM aisle, fucking RWD GM idiots with their mullets and beer guts make us all look bad. when i first started on J-body.org, it was great, people that had the same love for an unloved car that I had. And then the knownothings showed up, the bandwagoners, the kiddies and their happy time antics. And one thing became apparent... the members that were showing were nothing more than kids who's parents wouldn't buy them a Civic and they were bitter. All the community was gone. So then, I moved over to CobaltSS.net and their community is pretty good, even if it is starting to show signs of going the same way J-body.org did. understand this clearly: I am not a fanboy. I have been driving General Motors products since 1996 (earlier if you count my Mom's Pontiac). They have been the most rugged cars i have yet to see and more than serviced my vehicular needs. I have considered foreign cars in the past, but have passed on them for various reasons. I have also found that GM products were easy to repair and cheap to buy replacement parts. just because a person has strong opinions about a make of car, especially with the real world experience to back it up, does make them a fanboy.
