I cannot stand Cabrio's. I think they are hideous looking cars.

I always thought the Subaru Baja was an awesome looking car.

the 1980-85 caddy seville takes the cake, they look like they were kicked in the ass. Ok in 1980 they came standard with a CB radio so it sorta makes up for it a bit.. can you just see a CEO driving that thing "breaker one niner, yo got a copy on me yellow bird come on"

How about the Cadillac Cimarron? It looks less like a Cadillac, and more like a Nissan Sentra or Stanza. I think it is a Citation platform, Sam will know. I gotta go vomit now.

it was a first generation J-body. Think of the Cimarron as a luxury four-door Z24. It had the high-output V6 and sports suspension as optional. There is nothing wrong with the Cimarron... it was just a J-body trying to be something it was. Cadillac has struggled for years to have something that would appeal to a youth-oriented market. The Cimarron was attempt one. The Catera was another try, based on a Euro-spec Opel chassis (the Vectra I think) and now the CTS/CTS-V.

there are precious few Cimarrons left and believe it or not, they are gaining popularity among J-body enthusiasts.

The Catera was cool, liked it, LOVED Cindi Crawford. The cimmaron had no CAD styling cues, Cacillac is not an ugly car, Except the cimmaron. The little front wheel drive Caddy, I want to say EL Dorado, not sure? They looked good.
Might have been the Riatta platform? As for the performance, I have no clue, I have only driven 3 or 4 CADS, A '54, '56, '68, '72, '81. Non handled sporty.

I always liked the Catera...Seemed like a good way to have a Cadillac that would actually fit in your garage and without breaking the bank.

I liked the catera, the other cad I liked was the one with the chopped off butt, not sure of the name, probably based on the malibu. Cadillac has always built classy looking cars not sporty looking cars. Although the Corvette based Cadillac is to die for, Midlife crisis mobile all the way!!!

Damn thing was identical to a Cavalier save for trim pieces and interior parts. But still, not a terrible car, just overprices.

Although whenever I see one from the back, for some reason the large taillights and luggage rack dwarf the car even more...the effect reminds me of one of those fancy golf carts with the Rolls grille or something.

Dodge Caliber.

It looks like there should be more car there, more...'meat'. It has all those odd sharp lines, it just reminds me of a malnourished animal with its ribs showing.

Agreed, UGLY. How can a company that puts out the Challenger, Viper, Prowler, come up with the Calibre.

Challenger is now a niche car just because they needed something to compete with the Mustang

Viper is now either out of production or being phased out.
Prowler died when Plymouth was shitcanned.
the Caliber was what the idiots at Daimler-Chrysler thought people wanted in a small car. They were mistaken and sales are slow on these things. On top of that, every Caliber I have seen so far, including my friends Brandys' Silver Turtle have weird electrical problems. Hers keeps blowing headlight and tailights as well as her gages just going dead... and then coming back... and then going dead again... She's so disgusted with the car, she is having a transmission put back in her 01 Sunfire sedan. She says she wants to have ONE dependable car in the yard...
(her ex-boy destroyed the transmission in her Sunfire out of spite... you can't do neutral drops on a FWD with 180,000+ miles on it and not expect something to break)

WORST CAR I have ever driven, EVER. I had one for a rental in LA... it was uncomfortable, had hardly any trunk space, gutless and the back had no leg room (I'm 5'6"... so it's pretty bad when I have no leg room). We also had a Focus rental car there, and it was 15 times the car the Caliber was. And the Focus fucking sucked.
