924? Is that an accomplishment? LMAO, hey whatever trips your trigger Sam, I knew a rant would ensue. For the record: Fugly
| in 1981, the Porsche 924 was the gold standard in affordable sports car technology. See you aren't looking at this through the lense of the period. By todays standards, the Porsche 924,928 and 944 are a joke as is the Ferrari 308GT of the same period. Still, these cars were $25,000+ and represented what Europeans knew about sports cars. By 1981 standards, being able to blow away a 924 in a dragrace WAS an achievement. My brother owns a 2002 Monte Carlo LS and I own a 99 Monte Carlo LS as well. when i first saw the car in 2000, i felt that they had tried to cram too many styling cues into one car. By now, the end of the design cycle, it's actually a pleasant car to look at and has the muscle to back up the heritage.
