| | | Lazy fucks who manage to buffalo the management into thinking they're irreplaceable. For the past four months, I've been working on a crew away from the people who I've worked with for 5 of the past 6 and a quarter years I've been working at the plant. These people are not only my friends, but they are damn close to family for everything we've been through together. I relieve a lazy fuck who is untrainable and manages to bullshit his way through anything and everything. He does nothing but what he has to and leaves his messes for whoever comes in behind him, on top of that, he treats his assistant like dirt and treats people who actually matter like shit. On top of this, his assistant is also a lazy fuck. My friend, who I worked with for most of those 6 years, recently got a move up in the line of progression, and has been working 3-11 on this crew this week. What really pisses me off is they treat him like dirt even when he's tried to fucking help them. I came in last night not only to a mess, but to my friend struggling with the machine he's running and neither of those bastards around to help. Both of them were fucking off doing absolutely nothing within line of sight of said machine, myself and my friend. I ended up getting permission from a manager to punch in almost an hour early to go help him and try to clean up the mess. The straw that breaks the camel's back of all of this...I asked both of them specifically to help my friend, even if they did nothing else this week and left me a fucking mess every night. Add to it the bitching that both of these assholes do to me and management about getting trained as an operator on that machine. It's all I fucking hear lately. So, I spent most of last night getting shit ready for my friend and coworker to at least make his next couple days a little easier. Basically going through the run schedule order by order and looking up the material locations and finished item specs, which often takes 80 percent of the prep time and writing them down so all he has to do is go get the materials and run the machine. What it boils down to...I HATE LAZY FUCKS. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

| | | People who promise shit they will NEVER be able to deliver on to get what they want. I've busted my ass for two years for a lousy 250 dollars every three months as an officer in our local union and the whole lot of us who spent those two years working together to make things better got our asses kicked in the election earlier tonight. I wish I could take back the things I've done for other people, the sleepless nights and bullshit I've endured at the hands of an ungrateful bunch of assholes where I work. Beaten a bunch of idiots who have NO FUCKING CLUE what they're getting into. All because the seven of us didn't promise what a few hundred people want, a 12 hour shift schedule. One that will make lives worse than they already are. Sure, you get to work 3 or 4 days out of 7, but the other 3 or 4 that you're off you will have to be able to come in to work and carry a fucking pager. So you can't go anywhere. Someone gets sick, you're stuck coming in for them. Someone goes on vacation, you're stuck on extra shifts for a week. Whether you AGREED to it or not. On top of it, the company will be able to save money by cutting upwards of 100 people, a whole operational crew. They say no right now, until they see a few million dollars in payroll and benefit savings from getting rid of by laying off or not replacing those 100 people by making us run 12 hour shifts with 3 crews instead of 4. Oh, and the kicker of this...get this, we have to vote on this mill wide, the vote has to be UNANIMOUS for it to happen. That means every person in the whole fucking mill has to vote YES on the shift changes for it to happen. As long as I am alive and work there, that will not happen. I refuse to let it happen. All I can say is don't come crying to me when you fuck up the taxes or the payroll and you get beaten next election because you can't deliver on your bullshit promise. Good luck and fuck you...you selfish bunch of mother fuckers. There...I feel better now.

| | | I'm having one of those days, well, fuck it, one of those weeks where I feel like I'm just repeatedly banging my face off a wall without making any headway. I'm sorry if I care about what I do. I'm sorry if I know what the fuck I'm doing with our computer system, I'm sorry that I know how to fix shit and spend a lot of time working on figuring out how to fix shit. The problem is, fixing shit takes TIME. Time that no one wants to give me. I am beginning to think I need to hold a kindergarten counting and reading class for about 100 people where I work who just can't fucking seem to read order numbers. Order numbers are seven digits where I work, for example, this is what they look like 1234567, item numbers are -10, -20, -30, etc. Sure, they get the damn order number right...but they fucking forget to match the item numbers. I get two pieces for wrapping, they're bundled together, the order number matches, but the fucking item numbers don't...so I can't get a shipping label without making changes in the computer system and this takes time, so yes, if you fuck up correct bundling, I will get behind on my work and you will get backed up! Then you will call me wondering why and I will try to explain it to you, and for the ten thousandth time that you need to pay fucking attention! Now how fucking hard is that to understand? Suppose you get two pieces of material that have the order numbers 1234567-10 and 1234567-20...they are not necessarily for the same fucking order and CANNOT BE BUNDLED TOGETHER! Is this hard to understand? Because I certainly don't think so. My 4 year old nephew got it when I explained it to him with his number blocks. So why the fuck can't adults get it too? Do I need to take Ben's blocks to work and explain it the same damn way? After the past two days, I'm about fucking ready to. I can manipulate the item numbers in the computer and make them match, but it takes TIME. Grrrrr.
