| | | i got written up at work today. Now, here's the fun part. This is my 3rd write up since late February. It gets funnier... there isn't anything running the building, it's quiet enough to hear a mouse fart and you still have to wear earplugs. Apparently, my asshole supervisor sees me without my earplugs in and writes me up for it. The guy just wants me gone and he figures he can make an example of me, that old chestnut of 'fuck with me and this will happen to you too.' i'm so goddamn tired and upset over the whole thing, it's starting to affect my life outside of work. I used to be sort of suicidal, now i think about it every fucking minute of the day. I doubt i have the wherewithal to actually perform the act, but fuck, i really don't know who much more abuse I can take from him or that other fuckstick that I've had problems with from day one. After all this happened, i wrote up my letter of resignation. It's sitting in my locker right now... i feel like i am losing my mind a piece at a time. feel free to laugh and hardy har har... everyone else does.

| | | I feel like just repeatedly banging my head off of the keyboard, and I would if it weren't for the replacement value of the laptop. Anyway, there is a woman at work who I won't name...she fucked the company out of workmen's compensation for two years, literally. Anyway, the company decided to cut her loose according to the union contract and drop her from the payroll. She got a lawyer, got her job back, etc. The union contract says in black and fucking white that if you cannot return to your job in a year due to medical issues, you do not have a job to come back to, period, end of discussion. They followed the fucking contract. As we are supposed to. Now, she refuses to do the job that she's supposed to do because of said workmen's comp claim. Management is trying to cut her loose because she has a laundry list of restrictions and thinks because of these restrictions, that she can do whatever she wants. On top of this, she thinks she's untouchable, especially when it comes to overtime. We have to split shifts when people have scheduled days off. Not a big deal, I don't mind, but this bitch thinks she can get away with not working it because she "doesn't need the money". Anyway, I'm fucking sick of her shit. I don't mind picking up slack, but when I am expected to do my share, after nearly having a stroke last week, literally, and she tries to get out of it because her mother is sick or some other bullshit, which normally is a fucking bald faced lie. On top of this, she left me a nasty note because I forgot to do one fucking thing last night because I had to go fill in for someone. I went through a health issue last week, extremely high blood pressure causing what I thought was dizziness due to Meniere's disease, which I've had for about two years. Anyway, the doctor nearly decided I needed time off. The meds they gave me are working, I'm fine. I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow for a checkup and a medication check. But, this bitch thinks it's nothing to nearly have a stroke or a heart attack.

| Sounds like the one at an office tower I worked at as a guard. She `works` as a federal employee and the day I found out that I had very high blood pressure, she was demanding I remain at work so she could impress some asshole from Ottawa. (No not the prime minister but some little manager who couldn`t find Toronto even if he was standing in the middle of the city.) I went to the hospital anyway and then found out later that had I not sent in a copy of the doctor`s note, I would have been fired. The last place I worked at was to say the least, pathetic and that was on a good day. Among the many things that pissed me off was the idiots kept changing their schedule repeatedly and wait until I`m on site before telling me. Not small changes here and there but huge changes. That resulted in me getting freaked on for being late, going broke with extra fuel because of the extra driving, and a car that`s practically worn out before its time. The worst one was when I arrived at a site in Mississauga, called in to say I got there, and then the secretary freaked on me. Turns out the schedule was changed at the last second (which happened repeatedly) and I was supposed to be out in Markham instead. And no, this was not for an emergency but was for routine testing of the alarm systems. I was not reimbursed for the extra fuel and time and the boss called and freaked on me as well. Another thing that pissed me off was the pay. Cheques kept bouncing. I finally refused to come into work and got fired. I eventually got paid but the damage has been done. There are other issues which I brought to the labour board`s attention but at this date, dick all is getting done.

| | | The company is above board about pay. They more than make it worth your while to work the overtime, it's just I'm tired of people getting away with murder and then getting pissed off because I get one little bit of special treatment that I've more than earned...but then when I bitch, I get forced for a 16 hour shift on a job that isn't mine. I gave my boss what for over getting stuck for a 14 hour shift because this bitch was late for work because of a mandatory meeting that you are exempt from when you work 12 hour shifts...she didn't have to go to the meeting when she is on 12 hour shifts but went anyway, because she didn't want to fucking work her 12's. This is the same bitch I was talking about in the previous post. Anyway, I bitched at my boss, I ended up getting forced for a 16. Sure, I get some stuff I want, but when I collect on favors that I'm owed and try to make people own up to their shit, I end up getting the shit end of the stick. The rule is if you get moved off your job for 8 hours, they cannot force you on another job for another 8 hour shift. Because it suited this dick, I got forced...primarily it was retribution for being pissed off at this bitch. Apparently she gets what she wants from one boss, the dick that forced me over and then threatened me with time off when I threatened to leave, even when he admitted he was fucking wrong.

| | | My coworkers are fucking SHEEP. The union and the company hand them bullshit and they take it...I and a dear friend of mine stand up and ask why in a meeting this afternoon and the fuckers tell us to sit down and shut up. They're realigning the department. Which is fine, it needs to be done...but there's a problem. The realignment proposal was drawn up by 8 people in a room, the union and the company...many of us were not asked about our thoughts on it because we would stand up and say something against it and would not accept whatever we were handed. So, without a vote, they're shoving it down our throats and are expecting us to take it and like it. I will not take it silently...I refuse to take anything silently...not when this caters to a few at the expense of us all. We are getting screwed at the pleasure of those who do not want responsibility or those who do not want to perform certain jobs. People who do not want to do my job do not have to, while I may be forced to because I have not been with the company as long as they have. Even though they are being paid less. I refuse to go silently with this. Lines of progression were installed where I work precisely for this reason. You either move up when it is your turn or move out. End of discussion. But no...not anymore...now you can choose, but don't get too comfortable, a senior person may take your place at their pleasure and force you into doing something you do not want to do either.
