Desiderata was parodied by National Lampoon, re-named as Deteriorata. Voiceover talent Norman Rose read the "poem" and then-little known Melissa Manchester was a background singer on the chorus section of the song. Christopher Guest wrote the music.

Listen to Deteriorata here:

Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary. We usually get one day off together per month. The man just called and said our other employee doesn't feel like working tomorrow, but she would do a double on Monday. That would mean one of us would have to work on our anniversary. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

Oblivious people piss me off. There's usually a dash of stupidity, mixed with a dollup of full of themselves, and somehow that comes around to bit you in the ass somehow. We all know one or two of em...

WTF DO YOU MEAN ITS A DRY COUNTY? THE NEAREST BEER STORE IS HOW FAR? FUCK THAT!

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Indeed. Dry as a popcorn fart. Enjoy.

What makes it worse, it wasn't my phone. Had it been my shitty flip phone, I might have thrown a party. No, I washed the bf's newish smart phone. I'm usually REALLY good about checking pockets, but he handed me a bundle of clothes doused in gear oil (easily my least favorite automotive smell) and I figured he'd already emptied his pockets. I also was ready to gag on the smell.

Too bad Sprint won't replace his phones anymore, after he killed 5 Moguls and a Touch Pro in the span of a year. (He doesn't have much tolerance for insubordinate electronics.)

That sums up my feelings about my old D600, which would randomly shit itself every 3 months or so.

I tend to take my electronic frustrations out on already-dead items. Working in a warehouse full of 20-year-old printers that no one cares about is the best stress relief ever.

This happens quite a bit on mentally trying days:
