Do I even have to explain why this pisses me off?

I kept the video on mute and watched the parts with Fergie. She is FINE

people in Southern California that like winter weather. Just totaled my car thanks to the first snow in 20 years and these folks are on about how awesome clouds and cold are.

I think I have some deportations to the north to take care of.

I'm up entirely too late tonight. I was just pondering heading off to bed when my Golden Retriever decided to hurl what appeared to be gallons of barf onto the (thankfully,I guess) hardwood floor. The sound and smell defy description.

Cody seems to be feeling better now and quite pleased with himself,I may add. I can handle blood and have changed many a baby's diaper. But vomit? Forget it...

I am thankful that my nephew has a much stronger stomach than mine,so he handled it like a champ. I am pissed off that my boyfriend keeps feeding Cody table scraps lately (and of course went to bed before this occured).

day shift.
even after going on 6 years, i hate day shift... i hate getting up at 4:30am and trying to fall asleep by 9pm.
I am usually up at 1 or 2am completely pissed that I am up. When I get home I putter around the house, aimlessly looking for something to keep me occupied so I don't nod off during the news... fuck. this is my 7 days in hell.

yeah, yeah, quityerbitchin at least you have a job. I know, it's just sometimes it does get to be a bit much.

Also, I am sitting here watching VH1 Classic (it's on in the background) and one thing that kind of pissed me off is the choice of music being played during the so-called "Metal Mania" show... since when is Bon Jovi metal?

Aw I've had that shift before. If it becomes a regular thing, try taking melatonin before you need to fall asleep. It doesn't screw with you like other sleep aids.

In the past year, we've been fortunate enough to see some books, like Catcher in the Rye, make their way back into schools even with the "foul" language or "sensitive" material in them.

But come on, taking the N word out of a book that's over 100 years old and could be considered somewhat historical material because it's "racially insensitive"?

Political correctness is really going too far. Grrrrrrrr.

I was listening to a radio call-in show about this topic today, and I've got to agree, it's outrageous. Replacing it with the word "Slave" is a form of denial.

The argument that high schoolers can't deal with the word is insulting. When I was in grade 12, we read Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, which uses the same racial slur. Nobody in my class (regardless of skin colour) voiced any opposition or discomfort to reading it aloud. In hindsight, I'm very happy our teacher didn't shy away from the book because it contained an "inappropriate" word, we learned a lot from a book some would deem offensive.

How about when your wife decides to throw in a load of laundry at 1:30 AM after she gets home from a night out with the broads, and this is like THE VERY FIRST TIME she's EVER done ANYTHING like this...EVER...and OOPS but she didn't bother to check the pockets on something and OOPS my fucking cell phone goes through the cycle.

I've done the laundry twice a week since our son arrived...that's 7 years...and I've NEVER done anything like this. Not once. I've had the same cell phone for three years, and I've NEVER put it through the wash cycle.

The woman doesn't do...repeat...does NOT do the laundry. That's my gig, but here she is at one thirty AM loading shit into the machine, and OH I DIDN'T CHECK THE POCKETS, and sorry but your cell phone is fubar'd.

"Didn't it occur to you to maybe check the pockets before you turned the godamned machine on?"

The asshole was driving like a maniac. He came flying up behind me , and the car beside me, on an entrance ramp. Whipped to the left when he could and then whipped back to the right when he was right beside me (much cursing and finger gesturing then ensued). Damn near ran me off the road and then did it to a couple more cars in front of me. I stuck to his ass, dialed 911, and gave them his plate number and description of the car. I sincerely hope they ruined his evening.

Snow.

I had two meetings today, I couldn't make the one at 7am, I also know I won't be able to make the one at 3:30pm due to snow.

4 to 6 inches my ass. We got almost that much in my fucking driveway right now.

Automated answering services when you call stores, credit card companies, cell phone services, etc. I REALLY FUCKING HATE playing "push button bingo" just to find store hours or pay a bill. And then you push all those buttons, piss away ten minutes of your life, sit on hold for another 20 minutes hearing bullshit ads, only to find you've somehow routed yourself to Bumfuck India with "Peggy" (who's real name is probably Apu Habeeb Ali-Baba somethingorother) who speaks all of 3 coherent words of English, none of which apply to your situation. And he's in the wrong department, so you're going to get passed around there call centers like a joint at a Dave Mathews concert.

I do hope the person who invented these god-awful time vampires burns in their own separate circle of hell, where they will mash buttons for eternity just to do something as simple as take a piss.

I forgot why I'm even on hold. And I just heard my estimated wait time is 20 minutes. But don't worry! Every 30 seconds, I'm told my call is valuable!

dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck.
budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane.

you want to cut through call center bullshit?
at the first words of the recording, start pushing "0".
usually, this will flag the system that there is something wrong with it and will send you right to someone. In the case of XM Radio, I kept smashing "0" and it sent me to a customer call center in Iowa of all places.
