| | | I know the thing in Conneticut is a tragedy and I'm not saying anything about the whole issue. What I'm pissed off about is the media is blaming video games, again. They're blaming Warcraft and Starcraft. One dumb bitch actually called them shooter games. Which is the furthest thing from the fucking truth.
These are two of the most innocuous games I know of, neither are shooter games, neither of them kill human beings, most combat classes don't use guns, and if they do, it's not a one shot one kill type thing, it's not even close to games like (sorry Sam) GTA or Modern Warfare or any of those type games where you actually fire at human beings. Most of WoW's combat is group based and creature killing. Starcraft is also creature killing, as far as combatting the zerg with legions of terrans. I'm just sick of the media continually blaming things that really aren't the cause. It's like blaming Bugs Bunny. Most of the violence in these games is cartoonish violence. So, it's like blaming Bugs Bunny or Yosemite Sam. The kid was sick, end of story. (Note: I'm not making a political issue about it, just that they drag censorship into it when shit like that happens, and continually pisses me off, every fucking time. Just venting.)
