People get violent a lot these days. When I worked at the movie theatre I had a customer forcefully throw a pack of candy at me because it was too expensive. WTF?

Lying assholes.

Asshole comes to the desk complaining to the property manager that the guard was not at the desk the other night for at least half an hour. Asshole claimed that he came down, waited over half an hour and then left. (I was using the washroom at the time and was on my way back so I heard the conversation). When I was introduced as the supervisor, asshole repeated his complaint and suggested that I immediately fire the guard. Bit my tongue and said I'll look into the matter. Asshole grins and walks away.

What asshole didn't realize was that there is a surveillance camera aimed at our desk. Results showed the guard left the desk, asshole came to the desk, hung around for about three minutes and left. Guard returns about nine minutes later. Another camera shows guard heading to the washroom. I told the property manager about this and she told asshole in the most civil and professional voice that he was full of crap!

Had a few more lying assholes today and was ready to drag the next one up to the roof and see how well he would splatter below. Fortunately, relief came in and I got the heck outta there. Blegh!!!

I had a patient get pissed off at my Medic for pushing Narcan and killing his overdosed high (which would have killed him if nothing had been done). So he "Forgot" to tell us he had MERCA til we got to the hospital. now I have to go through the stadard series of tests to make sure I don't have MERCA now.... nice...real nice.... fucking Asshole.

The other day at work I took a bathroom break, needless to say someone had decided to display their artistic skills in a certain greenish brown medium on the bathroom walls. We are on a secured floor so it's not a public restroom, meaning it had to be someone who works there. How freaking nasty can someone be really?

I feel your pain.

When I was working for myself, I'd force me to work long hours without breaks, and I'd scream at me, and I'd threaten to fire me, and now and then I'd toss me a curve ball by deleting a bunch of video files that were absolutely necessary to me's project just to see how me would handle it.

In the end, I quit, but my boss held back on the vacation pay.

Sad thing is, I just applied for another job with me, and I'm really dreading the interview process.

There is one other person in my department with more seniority than me. Therefore, she gets to pick her vacations first.

The killer is that she is a jehovah's witness; and does not celebrate the holidays. Yet, she takes all the major holidays off!! We have Christmas and Thanksgiving off, yet she takes the entire week of Christmas off. Then she takes the day before Thanksgiving and the day after. She also takes the week of the Fourth of July off.

WTF?? And she doesn't have kids either, so its not like she needs the time off for school vacations or anything. She won't even budge enough to switch off every other year or whatever. I asked her if I could either have Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas off and she said "Well, I ALWAYS take that".

Give up the freakin' vacation days to us who actually observe the holidays!!!

You should kill her, which is really a two birds/one stone win. 1) you'd become the senior person, and you could plan all your vacation time accordingly first, and 2) you'd teach her a valuable lesson in not fucking with you.

the last christmas I had off was maybe 05 or 06... same with thanksgiving.

I like working on Christmas. I'm not religious so for me it's just an easy way to get some extra pay.

Well, with me, I would like to spend some time with my family over the holidays. However, their work schedules are different from mine so I'm the odd one out. While the overtime pay is nice, I wouldn't mind being able to be with my family during the holidays. My boss made it clear that no shift swapping is allowed at all so that is unfortunately out of the question.
To add insult to injury, the current schedule (which is binding), has the two Muslims off on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. BLARGH!!!

Another thing that pisses me off is retards who can't understand the concept that you should not be blocking emergency doors. Last week, some asshole stacked boxes against the door leading to our fire panel room from outside (the one that the Fire Department would use when responding to a fire) and we had a fire alarm. I asked the guy to move the boxes and he told me to f**k off as he's too busy. I kicked the boxes out of the way and he started screaming at me. I told him off. He later apologized as his boss tore him a new one when he went to complain about me kicking the boxes out of the way.

What concerns me is that we may have a real fire and someone can get hurt.

There is also an attorney where I work who ALWAYS says she's going to "go to the big boss" and try to talk to him about working Veterans Day so we can have the day after Thanksgiving off. This year she said she was going to ask him if we could have the day after Thanksgiving off in lieu of a Christmas Party. She always gets all our hopes up; then never seems to get around to asking him.

The worst part is that she never gets back to us about it either. We just wait to hear something from her every day and there's NOTHING.

I swear her and the Jehovah must be in cahoots with each other here.
