New guy at work is on the phone a lot (both the work phone and his personal cell) having non-work conversations all the time. I suggested he watch it as the optics of doing that could be looked at negatively then he jumped on me all defensively. Shit, I'm just offering some advice!

Yah those people that are talking to their kids/husbands/etc/etc all day long are pretty annoying. I worked with this one woman who we swear was still connected to her daughters by umbilical chords at age 14 and 16.

I hate the guy who's on uer.ca all day long and not doing any work.

No, because I don't do shit and I get a guaranteed paycheck and can't get fired due to the union I'm in. I don't push it too far thought.

Being self-employed, you have to at least do some work to make money unless you're a street pharmacist.

Having to state a very simple concept repeatedly to a co-worker.
Today:

Delivery for a resident. They have an entry waiver so we can open their suite. Suite master key is with the property manager as she needed it to open other suites.

Secretary Administrator tells me to open the door.

Me: "Sure, however the manager has my key. She's not answering my radio call and I need to get the key back from her."

Administrator: "You can get the key back later, just open the door now."

Me: "I need my key back so I can open the door. Can you call the property manager to ask her to return my key?"

Administrator: "You can do that later. Just open the door now."

Me: "How can I open the door when I don't have my key? The manager has it."

Administrator: "Get the key from her later. Just open the door. What part don't you understand?"

Me: "I don't have my key! The property manager has my key! I need it back before I can open the door! Why is that so difficult to understand?"

Administrator: "Just open the door".

Me: "NO! Until I get the key back, I can't open the door. Someone else is waiting for help so this delivery has to wait." And I walked away.

Then the administrator calls the property manager on the radio saying I refuse to open the door and the property manager told her that I can't because she has my key.

I believe that if that idiotic administrator took an IQ test, she would get drool on it.

I hate fucking up at work. Found out first thing this morning I made an accounting error that is costing the company $14,000. It was not that serious as fixing it will be simple but that was the wrong move so soon after surviving a round of layoffs.

I wish I could be off the employment grid altogether.

Board members. They never let you know when you do a good job. They only let you know everything they feel that you're doing wrong. Joy.

Yeah well...my boss is a fucking asshole. He's a lazy dog-fucker, he complains every godamned day, he steals my lunch from the fridge, he's sometimes drunk, he sexually molests me, he keeps me working way beyond business hours, he often withholds my pay or he blows it on his own selfish needs and if he fucks up, I get blamed.

Being self-employed does have some downsides.

i get to work today and am told that the guy below me is going to be gone for a month training for a job he will never see. So, that pretty much fucks me out of punching up for a job that will be mine in a few months.

maybe i should just kill him and be done with it?

Cablevision and Disney had a hissy fit and took channel 7 off the air so now 3 million people are flocking to radioshack to buy antennas. When we opened today, we had a grand total of 4.

Edit: And everyone is bitching at us for not having them because they need to watch the awards. OH MY GOD YOUR LIFE IS GONNA END!!!
